I love these older videos. I grew up on Bob Phillips. I was in middle school when I started watching in the 70’s. Life was simple. We were lucky, we just didn’t realize just how lucky. Still watching every Sunday. I love this show. My dream was to do something that was worthy of Bob’s attention. I’d live to sit down & listen to his stories. 😇

Who are the mean-spirited people who go through YT just to dislike fine videos like this one? Stay off this channel. We need Texas Country Reporter to remind us, educate us, and tell the stories to our children.

Nope...my dad was the second oldest of 5 and his parents were here long before he was born in 1907.

Very interesting segment. I remember the 1987 tornado but had no idea of the previous ones. A good friend and one of the hams in Saragosa, (George Toone) was very instrumental in emergency communications after the 1987 storm.

I tried to find the 1938 tornado there but could only find the ‘87. Wonder why it’s missing?

And just who says that lightning doesn't strike twice (or three times)??? Wayne Hamilton represents the indomitable Spirit of America. And there's no place like Deep in the Heart of Texas!

Research seems to show this IS what Tornados 'do', years apart, they follow the same path!

I remember passing thru there around 1988. My brother in law worked the relief effort after the event.

You used the music from the original motion picture soundtrack for “The Memphis Belle” I recognize Oh Danny Boy and the intro music where Chuck Yeager was flying that P51 thru the clouds
