    I felt that the queen move was natural. I did find it. It accomplishes a couple of things quickly. The black queen is somewhat locked into whites side of the board while the white queen becomes very active on the black side. The tactical moves by the knight are secondarily pretty natural to find IMHO.

    • @NWRIBronco6
      @NWRIBronco6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      A little bold to assume that, based on you seeing Qe6 as an obviously intuitive move. Lots of moves make sense in a position, and strong players know how to play on that intuition to force good-looking bad moves. Stronger players know how to find the one line that makes a good-looking bad move actually good, or to avoid them if no such line exists...

    • @RickDesper-v8z
      @RickDesper-v8z ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Qd6 is one of only two moves that turn down the queen trade while protecting the knight, and it's clearly better than the other option, qe3, which would let Vincent pin the knight with his rook, forcing Prag to defend it with his other knight. That position would leave three of his four pieces stuck in place.
      I'd say Qd6 is the obvious move. The real issue is if Prag knew about this escape before Vincent offered the queen trade. And whether he knew it would be as strong as it turned out to be. With Prag, I'd lean to "yes". But the real bold move was when he allowed the rook for knight exchange just to keep the attack going.

    • @ravivaradhan4956
      @ravivaradhan4956 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is easy to say that you should trust your intuition as long as it has worked for you. But when you lose an important game because you were lazy to calculate concretely and just went with your intuition, that's when you start doubting your intuition and start relying more on concrete calculations to the extent possible.
