    Thanks for this!
    I just completed my first 25 hr greasing on my ISX 800 and I found 11 zerks, ignoring the two for the longer interval castor bearings. I knew there were two more somewhere but couldn't find them. You showed me those two under, and just in front of the rear wheels. 👍👍

    Great information. There are two grease points you left out. If you check, I believe page 32 in the owners manual, you will see it mentions removing the 1/4-28 bolts on the front casters. The procedure is to insert 1/4-28 zerk fittings, grease, them remove fittings and replace with the bolts. The reason for this is they are commerical mowers, and with commerical usage those zerks were getting broke off. Since mine is for residential use, I just purchased the zerk fittings and left them in. You helped us all out with the video, I wanted to make sure I returned the favor and let you know about those 2 extra. I believe that brings the total to 15 grease points.

    Great Video, that fitting above the deck at the rear is a real SOB to find. I'm glad you made the video. I counted a total of 15 zerks on my 2021 ISX 800.

    Thank you for the nice video. I have an IS 700. On that model, you need to pull the plugs and insert fittings located on the back side of the steering tower of the front wheels. It is extra work but those spindles inside the towers are constantly turning.

      I used 1.5 cartridges of Red N Tacky to complete my greasing. You can't see the grease exuding while pumping, so there's some wastage. It helps to flush the bearings though with new grease.
      I suggest doing the frt wheel spindles and blade spindles more often. The frt wheel grease turns black quickly and the blade spindles need lots of grease to refill after 25 hours.
      Glad I only need to do this 3 times a season but regular greasing and frequent motor oil changes = long life!

    You missed 2 grease zerts that are under the seat one on each side towards the outside frame. Mine have plastic caps on them!

    Good video. I have a 2100z but am really struggling with the middle deck spindle. How in the world are you getting the gun's fat nozzle underneath that unnecessary bar that is right above the spindle? I've tried many things but my nozzles only go about halfway on at the most, and I waste a ton of grease because of it. I am not even sure if I'm getting any grease pumped into the spindle itself. Surely I'm not the only one who struggles with this. I'm debating on finding a tool to cut that bar off!

      Hi Kyle, yes, the middle spindle is hard to access with a regular grease gun set up. I ended up purchasing a LocknLube grease gun and a 90 degree coupler. I just pop on the coupler and it makes it easy.

      No shit, they could have welded the frame brace, 1 inch fore or aft, Also outer pullies aren't the easiest to get at, not too mention deck arm fittings. Agri-supply sells extensions you can permanently mount to 1/4-28 holes, but then you have excess hose to tend with.

      I replaced fitting with a 90 degree problem solved, BTW its 1/8 - 27 thread

    How often do you grease your fittings?

    • @maplegrove3615
      @maplegrove3615  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I grease 2-3 times per year, but really depends on how often you mow.

      I bought this to maintain my 10 acres, but I only mow 3-4 acres on a regular basis. I felt the ISX2200 was more than enough for my application.

      Shane, I originally was set on a Scag, but after test riding the Ferris there was no turning back. My property has lots of uneven ground, so this saves the back.

      @@maplegrove3615 Same for me on the ISX2200. I considered the ISX2600 for the Yanmar diesel as I have two diesel tractors and a diesel excavator. I keep a 100 gal diesel transfer tank with farm diesel, but the price jump to the ISX 2600 was $5k more with increase in taxes also. At some point enough is enough. The 2200 with 61" mowing will be more than enough to get my 5 acres mowed once a week.
