hands down best way to rig that 3" hazadong in my opinion {and i know opinions may very} is on the back of a 1/8-3/16 oz coolbaits underspin. it gets licked!!! love that swimmer!

Thanks for the video Ben/Geoff. I use the spark shad on a jig head with success and four eyes. lol Best line in the video...'it can't be real, it has four eyes' 😂 I agree with Geoff. Extra eyes mean more bites, possibly two or more bait fish. Love Megabass plastics. ✌🏻🎣

My go to Bait has been a 3 inch spark shad on a dropshot or a 3/8oz guppy head with a spark or hazedong. Awesome rig for deep fish in that 30+ft range, I've caught so many giant smallmouth on that guppy head with a a spark shad on a flyssa its insane.

For some reason when I use a flashy swimmer I get a lot of strikes on the blade itself so, if I can- I often swap it out for a Cool Baits Down Under Spin- I use the bluegill madness 3/16ths head and a hazedong in the green pumpkin/chartreus laminate color- can't remember the name of it- looks just like sungill from Keitech. Spotted bass absolutely destroy it- they can't get enough of it. Some times I swim it normally- sometimes I swim it super slow so the blade just drags on the rocks along bottom instead of spinning- it's super effective around spotted bass or smallies. That said- buy a bunch cause they're not weedless at all- and they get stuck in the cracks in the rocks- you lose a lot of them but, man it catches them- it's worth it to me.

Caught my pb twice in the same spot off a 4.5 Hazedong shad on ca delta. The bass was huge with a parasite on his Gill plate.so mad I don’t have a scale still lol

The 5” spark shad with the beast hook does a jerk bait type action if you pop the rod tip up a couple times on the retrieve. Just a observation.

@@thehookuptackle_usa For sure . I was using the Trokar DS hook but I would loose at least 1 out of 5 bites . They'd either come off subsurface or when they jumped up top . My buddy turned me on to the 6th Sense hook . It seems to be a hybrid between a si Pro V and a old school O'Shaughnessy bend . This hook is the deal !!! I've even started to use it for my nose hooked fluke applications in open water

I’ve been using lindy rig weights on my weedless swimbait riggging for years now and what it does for casting distance is amazing(acts as a weight transfer). The advent of free rig weights gives me more options now and you can use a peg to keep it from sliding to far back into the bait. When you kill it it will spiral nose down too! 16th oz on a 3 inch spark Shad with a weedless hook is a killer! Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed!
