I do not want to have children, the world is not easy and everything indicates that it will only get worse. I don't want to put a child in the world to suffer.
Just because you would think that your child is going to suffer that doesn't mean anything still have children because you never know how the world may turn out because if you don't have children you care about this Earth or this country is going to be gone in a quick instant. Just my opinion
EXACTLY. I plan on adopting kids, especially older ones. it makes me sad to think about all the kids who aged out of the system. majority of kids that age out of the system die of homelessness or stds by the age of 26
@@ohshanana2397 I want to adopt and get pregnant as well. A maximum of three kids because I don't think I can take care of too many at the same time. I do want to be a foster mom like my mom. She's adopted so many girls.
I slept on an air mattress and ate Ramen noodles until I was 25. Fast-forward almost a decade after working a 6 figure job I still can't afford to have kids if I want to retire.
I’m 21 and I’m debt and still scared won’t have a job after college… thinking about kids is the last thing in my mind .and ps. I just got my drivers license 🤡
@@lizr.g6925 you’re not a clown, you’re doing your thing lol. Making strides, kicking ass and taking names. Trust I know the struggle of taking those freaking driving tests.
My parents were absent and abusive. I've seen discrimination, pain, and suffering. The world is worse then hell. All this gave me mental health issues. Why would I bring an innocent life to hell on earth and have this innocent life deal with my bullshit? I'm unstable as it is. Everything is so expensive and relationships are hard to maintain. So many problems and so little happiness. Even if i have the money, marriage, or life, I would not have a kid. I know myself will enough if i were to have one, they would end up suicidal like me
@port nut Actually, I'm 19. Not really a Millennial. I've watched, see, and heard about people all around me. If you include my own personal experience, I've came to the conclusion it's much better to have humanity go extinct. It's why I don't want kids. I have volunteered to take care of kids in day cares and have seen kids when teachers aren't looking act like a complete 180. Those kids are usually the first to be picked up. The last to be picked up are usually quiet kids. They are the kindest. I'm talking about kids here. Grade 3 to 7. Now teens on the other hand, seems like their parents have learned from the past and seems to love them. Not a bad thing but if u confuse love with spoil, ur kid will turn into a monster. Every kid has different needs. Every kid has different experiences. My past made me who I am today. Sure it's in the past but it's still your past and you have to accept it. You cant forget about your identity cuz your memories make you who you are. I know myself. If I we're to have a kid, I would protect them from everything. But kids need a bit of everything. I look at the kids who grew up with so much love but they are still lonely and depressed due to society/environment they grow up in. You want the best for your kids but there are so many factors at play here. I personally don't want kids and there are many personal reasons i will explain in a bit. Millennials who don't want kids seen what society is like and experienced hell on earth already. So that leaves the others who haven't. Ignorant, narcissists, and others who use kids for government funds. If these people want kids, the earth is left with a lot of depressed people. Sure there are people who have experienced all that and still prepared themselves fully for kids. Those kids have a high chance to grow up to be great people but due to environmental changes, they can still end up depressed and miserable in life. Now my reasons for not wanting kids. You've heard already a few. My personality, environment, and worries. Another I have are orphans. Why have one when there are kids in need of families? Another reason I've said many times is how your living in hell on earth. As the saying goes, if you can't even take care of yourself, can you take care of a kid? Financial issues, ur significant other, etc. Humans change and ur significant other can change for the good or worse. I rather not think about good or bad because if it does happen and I'm left to take care of the kid, I would kill myself.
I'm also from an abusive family. I'm a 44 married woman and I stand firm on my decision to not have kids. I don't want to bring in anymore possible sufferers into this overly populated world. I see from your description that you are an empathetic soul that brings love to the world, and I want you to know that you have a heart of gold and you are worthy to love and care for yourself as you love others. Blessings to you from Taiwan~
I’m the same. Financially comfortable but no desire for kids. Don’t you find that people see that you’re financially comfortable and use that as another reason why you should have them?! I get quite annoyed at other people’s closed off minds and prying questions.
@@londongirl891 thankfully I haven't dealt with those questions yet. I'm assuming once I'm over 30 they'll start coming 🤷🏾♀️ I've also only lived in big cities where it's a bit more normalized. Sorry you're going through that. I'd be annoyed too.
It's only appealing if you have a good supportive husband who will provide for you so you can stay at home with the baby after giving birth. But good luck find ing a man who will do that for you, especially if you want a AA man. Most that I've met or dated didn't want to ever get married, because thye are so afraid of a woman taking their little bit of money.
There are reasons why our grandparents generation drank and popped pills and smoked alot during the day...being a parent when you're not in the right frame of mind is hard af, especially when most people don't have a village of people around to help out with child rearing and allowing parents to recharge
The previous generation were able to do these unhealthy things and have addictions such as alcoholism, smoking, and gambling and still be able to provide family and have a house because the costs of living were low. They would not have survived in today's economy, but in reality the people who suffered in today's world were these generations. The majority of this generation suffered through the mental illness, narcissism, selfishness, and illness of their parents and grandparents. They are the reason why this generation is mentally ill. The consequences of their decisions and outlook on life, living, working, and having family relationships are being felt by this generation and the decline in birth rates is a symptom of this.
As a gen-Z 24 yr old myself, you’re spot on. Mental health. I can’t even make myself happy- I can’t afford to live in this current world. I’m extremely depressed. I’m homeless so living in my dad’s basement- a starter home is $415k where I live. Rent costs as much as a mortgage. How in the bloody hell am I supposed to get a place to live? Furthermore, why would I want to add a kid to the mix? Kids are expensive and you can’t get rid of them like people do to their pets (disgusting) when you can’t afford them. Everyone tells me I will change my mind and I’m like yes, when you’re paying my damn bills, getting my ass into a $415k home and paying my mortgage, I will change my mind. For sure. My brother bought his first new-build home for $280k two years ago. His home is now worth $550k. Let’s definitely talk about having children when we can’t afford to live? I’m probably going to get a hysterectomy young so I don’t have to worry about the life-changing circumstances of an accidental pregnancy. Can’t afford a kid!!!
Please dont screw over your future self. Culture is so damn fucked right now but dont destroy your own body because they have demoralized you. There is a good chance for big changes in the near future and something else came to my mind: You can always just say "Dear society, YOU want something from me (children). You need me far more than I need you so if you want me to do something for you, you better be very nice to us young people." They will probably fly off the handle but its the truth and it changes the whole power dynamic.
Boomers: "Entry level jobs that pay a living wage: Must have a PhD, 10 years of unpaid internships using software from 2019, experience as a Microsoft CEO, no paid time off, and 24/7 availability. And charge $30,000 for child birth because the well-being of families with a newborn are less important than the insurance CEO's third yacht." Also Boomers: "Why aren't young people having kids?"
100%. They know exactly why people aren't having kids, they are just too cowardly of a generation to admit they are the causes of all the problems they complain about.
My parents basically sold their souls to have my siblings and I. They don't have friends, they work while we're on vacation, they're hardly involved with our personal lives since they're too busy working, all because we exist and they need to provide for us, and now they expect us to do the exact same thing for their grandchildren? Hell no.

I am a millennial and my reason for not having kids. Is It is too much work, the world is very uncertain, relationships are complicated. There is too much to focus on in life right now and too much to do like traveling with close friends. Enjoying my me time, i am a loner and i love my own company, i actually see it as a very positive thing where most people would point the negative. Having kids is a big responsibility that I don’t think I would want. I am pretty sure a lot of people feel this way nowadays.
Yes great point that's exactly how I feel too. I have student debt to pay off and left more 5 years... after that I need to word I dont see myself having a kid. I simply cant afford.
@@saltymonkey8874 just say you’re a mindless breeder and stfu obviously you can call a person who has valid points lazy for someone that doesn’t exist over the many lazy parents who beat and shove a device in their kids face.

As a millennial seeing the way the our society is going really made me decide not to have kids. Financial crisis after financial crisis, political instability, inflation, climate change and on top of all this there's the school shooting problem. Who wants to bring a kid into this mess?
@@foxbyte0157 That's kind of a shitty thing to say to a mum. Having or not having kids is equally valid. It's just an interesting social trend that we want kids less than generations before.
School shootings are super rare. And now has climate change effected your life? That's the dumbest excuse. No one feels the effects of climate change. Nothing you can't handle anyway.
That’s another thing...Boomers and Gen X did not have the internet, so they couldn’t read all the things your friends and family won’t tell you about how much of a pain in the ass it is to have kids.
As a Gen X yes, we did have a lot of information about the environment on TV, we had videos on childbirth and we saw how our relatives were having kids and how miserable they were
That's even assuming they live long enough to experience getting old. Imagine dying before you reach retirement and having spent all that time raising another person for the sole purpose of having insurance for your retirement or something when you could have spent all those years doing what you loved and never even having to spend most of it tending to another person and sacrificing all your time and energy for nothing.
By the time you reach that point, you might be too old to have kids.Really women were supposed to get married to a man that will provide a home, food etc so that she could afford to have kids while still in her 20's.
@@mjjones3216 Ironically men become controlling or abusers if they are the sole breadwinners as if they are doing the most imp work. Its litterally crazy how I used to feel extremly ashamed for not having a child yet, or not being married yet in my early 20s. I've learned through so many people experiences and realized that possibly being a single male without kids could have been the best thing for me.

@@mh-adlerglanz1057 this! It's because we acknowledge that kids are PEOPLE. They deserve love and care and all that good stuff. Me personally, I am full of bad stuff.
Having kids is hella overrated and extremely expensive/time consuming. Most people don't even have the money to take care of themselves , but they want to pop out a bunch of kids just because their friends are doing it 😆
Boomer here. Great video, and you nailed all the major points about not having kids. I have two grown daughters, and I can tell you that I was lucky that I waited until I was 37 years old when I had my first. I already had a house, college degree, served four years in the Marine Corps that paid for college, and had a great job. I was able to provide for them and offer them an upper middle class lifestyle. Now, they have their own lives to live, and I totally understand if they don’t want kids. I’m cool with that.
Choosing to be a parent is choosing to live life on Hard mode. Some parents pour everything into their kids and make their kids their whole life, when the child doesn’t feel the same way back. Your kids are special to you, but kids see you as a provider. Nothing more. It’s very possible that your kids won’t get along with you or respect you if you rub them the wrong way. It’s like that one sided relationship where one person is devoted and the other person couldn’t care less. Your kids are going to grow up and leave and more than likely cleave to someone else, starting their own life/family. They may write you out of their life completely. I know plenty who did. Many parents I’ve talked to whose kids were grown said if they knew then what they know now, they never would’ve had them. Most likely, you WILL be thrown on the back burner. Don’t have kids if you can’t cope with that. Get a pet
I’m a millennial and my main reasons that are swaying me in the direction to not have kids are: 1. Don’t want to have huge amounts of debt 2. Want to travel 3. Climate change I also completely agree with you that the world doesn’t seem like a positive place right now. I’m a very compassionate and empathetic person and sometimes I just can’t handle all the hate and anger that is going on right now.
I'm 33 and I want a tubal ligation, I don't have a job and I don't want to be a mother, kids are very expensive, I want to travel, save money for my retirement, and my disease need attention, I prefer to use the money of my future job in my heath that in diapers

I PROUDLY SALUTE all Birthstrikers and anyone else choosing not to breed due to manmade global warming, for your sacrifice and service to preventing future suffering.
For me the main reason for not wanting kids is I already love my future (possible) kids too much to bring them into this (less than perfect) world. And i know this sounds counter intuitive but I just can't bring myself to birth my babies into a cruel, harsh world where 9 out of 10 people will not have good intentions. I suffered so much from people that took advantage of me and almost ruined my life, even though my parents did their ABSOLUTE BEST to protect me. The truth is, this world is a jungle and no matter how much you try to protect your kid someone could harass them, rape them, gaslight them, bully them, beat them up or even kill them. I just can't risk it. I love my angels too much to see them suffer, I know it would drive me insane if anything happened to them. And let's face it, most people are not happy, they're actually miserable. What are the chances MY kid will be the exception? Life is just too hard and too cruel. Bringing an innocent soul into this world is just so irresponsibleand selfish imo...
Women are smarter today and having kids do not keep you and the father together. You are going to end up as a single parent. I think some men just want kids to just say they had kids. But they won’t be hands on. The world isn’t a safe place anymore.
Women today are actually stupid 😂for real still going to college for a useless degree meanwhile men are going to trade schools and getting actual jobs.
Agreed! It seems a lot of men think “populating the earth” or “leaving their last name” sounds good, and it does, but being a good father, husband, and leader also comes with that. I believe that I want children, and I would be a great mom, I had an amazing mom and dad, but looking around at the mentality of most men, leaving their wives AFTER she bared them children, really just ends bad for women. The children get taken care of and the men get to live the same live as before. But the mothers life is completely 360, and will NEVER be the same, she ends up doing the job of both the mother and father, struggling to provide for the children.. I’m just not sure I would bear children for a man of this generation.
I am an early Millennial born on May 25th, 1983 and part of the reason why I don’t want children is because I have high functioning autism and raising children would be a lot for me with my autism. I can’t take care of children 24/7. Going by my sister and having to watch over my niece who also has autism and you have to watch her constantly made me realize that I can’t take care of children 24/7.
Besides the fact that I couldn't afford to raise a child, but also not equipped with the skills to raise a well adjusted kid. Call me selfish, but I don't think it's fair to bring a child into a hostile world to suffer because I'm unable to care for them properly.
Thankfully $15/hr is relatively common now even for fast food workers! Unfortunately with inflation, it's basically the same real (starvation) wages as before covid.
You are technically being paid less than your ancestors were for doing the same job because older generations do not understand how inflation reduces the spending power of currency. If they say "Back in my day I worked for the same amount of money you work for" they do not consider that they were technically making more money than you because inflation was not a factor.
Every generation prior to the millennials expected a better life than their parents. While I really want a grandchild I respect my children’s desire to just be happy. They are adults and that is their decision to make. The world has twice the population it needs anyway. They own kitties and I call them my grand-babies!
I got married at 20 in 2013… after 5 years of saving I said I would have a kid if I had a house 🏠 and we managed to buy one in 2017 before the prices spiked. We were SUPER LUCKY… but we had to move 2 hours away from family to find one cheap enough to build a family but after 5 years together, I felt it was “time” now that we finally got the house. I have 2 kids now and we will be on 11 years this November. I totally understand the “get your life together before kids” mentality. It’s really what set it up for me and I would have been devastated to have kids while renting looking at how high rent has gone up. My mortgage is what people used to 15 years ago for a regular 2 bed apartment and to do it all over again today, it wouldn’t be possible.

I’m the oldest of 3 siblings. I was responsible for a lot of things when I used to live in my parents house. I’m currently 26 years old and live on my own. I like my alone time. I do love kids. I actually babysit and get paid for it as my side job. I see how it affects their parents life. I can list several reasons. It’s totally different taking care of someone else’s children for a couple hours then having one for the rest of your life.
What I get from listening to younger people I am guiding is they were lied to by teachers, government and their parents really were ignorant. Young people were led to believe going through education would lead to good jobs, the foundation to setting up a good life and so be able to provide for their own children one day. But the adults in charge led these young people on a wild goose chase that, for the most part did not benefit these young adults, it did not lead to the good jobs, better prospects or anything good. These young people figured out they could have done their current work straight out of school at 16 and got paid about the same. After being lied to, years of life being wasted, earnings that could have been in the bank had they not gone to university and incurring plenty of debt they are back to square one. Really, the liars ought to be ashamed of themselves. The liars played young people so they could benefit. Yet, the liars are in power and they will lie again and again so their lives get better at the expense of the young. So as some defense I would suggest the young learn from the horror they have gone through and create their own curriculum if they ever have children. I myself found freedom in the trades, building my own accommodation and growing plenty of good quality produce. The young people I have guided also have the trade skills from the opportunity of working alongside me so they can have an excellent foundation to work from, that they never got from their parents, and knowledge that will help them break away from the lying bastards that led them astray.
As a millennial, this is exactly how I feel. I don't trust the government, teachers, or baby boomers in general. I was just misled and lied to in my formative years.
This is actually pretty true. I went to college for engineering with high hopes, got a crap job that didn't require a degree. After 4 years I got an applicable engineering job. Realized I don't really use much I learn in school and really the job sucks but pays well. Should have been taught how to farm and build stuff and program and invest as a kid.
Being realistic, with the general cost of living being so high and most decent housing being out of reach, why the hell would we think adding children to the equation is a good idea? In today's society, to bring up kids in a stable environment, you need to be from a wealthy family or have a family who is able to support you financially
Even as a person who is grateful and lucky enough to make $25 an hour I feel like I’m barely scraping to make it out okay to be making out in the real world
@Anastasia's Secret yup my dad who bought his house back in 1983 paid off the mortgage of the house live in now years ago and thats queens one house in queens is appx $800,000 now. People who live in the actual city are 85 percent millionaries and celebrities Leonardo dicaprio, Jennifer Lawrence etc. The rest are people who have to work in nyc because their jobs are located there and have no choice because traveling from another borough to their job in the city is just wasting money. Transportation in itself is expensive and you can't park in the city anyway too crowded and too expensive
Every reason you mentioned is why I don't want kids, but I also don't find kids cute. I can't stand them and I can't deal with them, I can't talk to them about anything I deam interessting or important. Also I know what could happen to my body if I got pregnant and the thought of donating my organs for a parasitic thing in me that will push against my lung, stomach, intestines and bladder so I can tear myself open to push it through a tiny hole in my body under pain that makes you wish you would just die... It seals the deal for me to never have kids. I like money and I like everything to be clean and tidy and am a neat freak. A kid would ruin that and I can't garantie that I would love a kid, so I won't have one. If that makes me selfish, I doubt that the person calling me that is in the right mind. There is no reason for me to have kids, except social pressure and that would be a bad reason to get one.
This is exactly the same as me! Things I would add is that they would cause damage to mine and my husbands great marriage. We have time for each other, have fun together, have a great sex life and have the freedom to prioritize each other. I’m not losing all of my time to a kid that I don’t want, destroying my body and never wanting my husband to see me naked again, having awful body image issues mentally, not enjoying sex, not feeling like a woman. Mother’s just lose their identity and chunks of everything they enjoyed before children.
@@achaudhari101 That might work for some areas and some people but it will never get back to the state it was before and even IF, you still need to go through pregnancy, child birth, post partum depression, then you need to give up your own life for your child (you basically lose your identity and after that you're just "the parent of your child"). Then you might have to give up your job and many will never be able to work full time ever again. You can't blame people for choosing not to do that if all you get is the "true feeling of love"
It's nice to see that we're all viewing the world the same. At work, a lot of people are choosing not to have kids, so I see some similarity there. I see all these TH-cam videos about people choosing not to have kids there. I see articles on Google searches about people choosing not to have kids. We didn't all band together, or go to one "champion" speaker and listen to them order us not to have kids. We all just observed the world and came to the same conclusions.
I feel like back in the day, parents didn’t actually do any real parenting. They just kind of treated their kids like possessions or cattle. Now you actually have to put work into parenting, and it’s draining to try and be a therapist 24/7 to your toddler. It’s more work then I’m willing to do honestly, so I’m not having them
I'm 22 years old and I am not ready to have kids. Number 1, I am not mature enough. Number 2, I am not financially stable. Number 3, I am not ready to see my mom become a grandmother. And the last reason why I am not ready, it's because having a kid takes a lot of responsibility and patience.
I'm just saying not wanting kids (hard pass) is not selfish. I'm not selfish because I want to focus on having a quiet life that I'm content with. I personally find infants/toddlers/kids gross and I've never wanted them. Nor am I a "career woman." I went active duty to escape poverty right out of high school and now I just want to enjoy what's left if my life. Reproducing just because I have the organs is not in the picture. It's okay to be AFAB and a woman who don't want kids.
I'm about to turn 30 and I really don't feel like being a mom or raising a child of my own. I don't even like babies that much to begin with lol. I adore my two cats instead and they are enough for me. I don't believe that a woman's worth comes from being a mother.
I really enjoyed your perfect deep understanding, I’m from Iran and we youth exactly face these problems that you mentioned, I personally think like you and can’t convince myself to bring another innocent human being into this world at all but my wife doesn’t understand it I’m in a real dilemma how to make her understand these problems
As a gen z, I'm not going to have children. The future will be a dark, dark place. Not because of climate change and that bullshit, but because of the quality of life in general.
Seems like a smart decision. I got a vasectomy when I was 27. Easy operation. I have been thinking of having a festival for childfree people in my forest in Mexico.
Thanks for this video. I’m a millennial and I feel exactly the same. The cost of living in Australia is so high, to buy a house in a decent area is extremely challenging even on a high income. Throw a kid into the mix? I feel like I’d go homeless or something. Like I wouldn’t be able to provide for them. Even with a decent wage. It terrifies me.
Something I am not seeing in the comments or on the video (so far) is how young men today watched their Father's, Uncles, Friends and older Brothers go through the emotional and financial cheese grader that is Marriage, Divorce, Child Support and Family Courts. And they are avoiding that nightmare by Staying Child Free
It's good that, more and more people don't want children by their choice. It's a win win situation for everyone. People who don't want children are happy. The government are happy as population is being controlled. People who want children, gets more resources for their children, as there are no other children and they are happy too. Everyone is happy. Actually we have to motivate more and more people to not have children.
Well, sort of, we should discourage certain types of people to have kids. Just because some people want kids doesn't mean their genes are going to produce happy and healthy children. The government should do way more screening of peoples genes and warning people who will have really diseased/poor/biologically stunted children to maybe not have them.
@Book Ghost Writer Karen S. Cole Some traumas can’t just go away like that, especially if they happened so early in life that the brain was irreversibly altered. As for the pills: sometimes the brain, like any other organ in the body, just goes wrong. For some cases of depression where there’s a fundamental flaw in the neurotransmitters, thinking that therapy is all they need is like thinking that a type-1 diabetic can positive-think their pancreas into making insulin again.
Heal your trauma for yourself and enjoy your life. You don't need children. Childbirth is so painfull that it can be traumatizing and you don't want all these houes of terror and pain.
The world's becoming a worse place just to exist in. Why pull a soul out of non-existence to live the standard American life? We work all but one or two days a week, cost of living isn't letting up, both parents have to work to just keep a roof over their heads so they can't even spend time realistically with the kids they bring into the world. The working class is not financially stable and it doesn't seem like it is getting any better. The environment is also fucked beyond repair. Worst idea ever in this day and age. In fact I advise anyone reading this, don't doom a child to live and die in a world like this.
If I won the lottery, I would adopt a child or two. But then I would move out of America. I couldn’t send my child to school with a 1% chance that there could be a school shooting, nor would I feel safe as a mother of a black children that they wouldn’t be shot and killed jogging, driving (etc) in our neighborhood. But then I would still be a single parent & I do believe it is better for children to have a father in their life.
Millenial here. Getting married and having a large family is something i'd definitely want. Thing is, i'm not sure it's possible or even advisable. this past year alone we had potentially nuclear ww3 start, an attempted coup in my country, a housing crisis (i wasnt even aware the last housing crisis ended). Religiously it would be difficult to get my family to a Church near me (religious background) I'd love to have kids, but whether or not you have decided you want kids or not, if one of those reasons is, "the world will blow up and I don't want to see my kids starve before my face" then yeah, that's a serious problem. I also really hate whenever a boomer or someone says Millenials and GenZ don't want kids because they, "love their freedom." Yeah we want to freedom of not starving or seeing our loved ones starve. I'd happily trade any chance to travel, be a stay at home dad, and die with only a few dollars to my name if i can have even one kid and raise them well....whats the point of traveling and seeing the world if I got no kids or someday grandkids to tell it all to? I'd love kids, but the list of why it's just not gonna happen is simply too long.
Don’t let anyone tell you that you’ll change your mind. I’ve known my entire life that I don’t want kids. I’m 32 and I was right even as a child… it ain’t for me! We aren’t dominoes.
I’m 27. You’ll change. I’m not the same person from high school. I mean do you still believe in everything from when you were 5? Or have the same interests/ideas? Humans are always changing….that’s life…..
@@sofiabravo1994 change as an individual but a preference by a certain age is what we don’t change from. I said I don’t want to date more get married and have kids since I was 8 and here I am 11 years later with a stronger reason why I don’t.
I'm 20 years old and still single because the reason why I haven't dated any girls in highschool because I don't want kids in general and back in 9th grade I would see all of my friends get there girlfriends pregnant and not to be mean but I always feels disgusted seeing someone having kids and to be honest it's really hard to find those type of girls who don't want children
My wife and I used to feel like this and now we have two kids and could not be happier. It's not for everyone, but over here in Serbia where we have family, tradition, religion, national identity, etc, having kids and watching them raise into your own people is the greatest gift imagineable. I feel nothing but pity for Americans and other westerners who will never grasp the importance of children and progeny due to having a rotting, dead culture and no semblance of ethnic spirit. The "they take time" argument to me is a little strange, considering that my time is quite literally best spent providing for my family. We both work remotely and can easily take care of them at the same time. If we want to go out, we give the kids to my mother and grandmother for some time. Just as I love spending every day with my wife, I love spending it with my kids too. Are they stressful at times? Yes. Would I be doing literally anything else with my time? Absolutely not
Nice to hear, for me I think I couldn’t have the same outcome tho, abuse and alcoholism runs in the family so if I have kids in the future I’m scared for them. I also don’t find anyone attractive so they would have to come from donations which would be awkward taking care of them knowing I technically didn’t even know their mom till after they were born.
im 25 with zero desires to have kids, Im even considering getting my tubes tied because F that, my sister just had a kid and it ruined her life and traumatized me, everything about it is horrible.
You might have to jump through some hoops to get this done. My neighbor certainly did. Her doctor wouldn't consider it until she had 6.kids Personally i think they should just let you have the operation, no questions asked.

This video is very reassuring. I come from a conservative background, so it's hard to admit even to myself that I might not want to have children. If anything I would want to adopt a child and give them a good life, but, yeah, you gotta fight so freaking hard to become financially stable (if it's possible at all) that I'm not sure if I'll be able to do that... I still feel less out of place when I see that I'm not the only "odd" one who has this type of thoughts :)
Personally I dont want kids cuz I dont want them to go through what we are going through rn I also dont feel like I have the responsibility to have kids
It is so funny how people expect you to want to bring more people into the world despite hammering you with the quote: "Life is unfair." And if it is unfair, would it also be unfair to the unborn to be forced into undergoing the same struggles you did? If you have the option to be fair, why not? Be what life is not, and be fair to someone by not bringing them into unfavorable cirucmstances.
Maybe if the gen X’s and bommers in the government changed the system now they would be more people because people cost money from food, clothes, homes, entertainment, and other stuff
@port nut The previous generations had it easier financially than we do. We do the same amount of work they did, but the payoff is much less for us than it was for them. They're the ones in power right now, and THEY raised the cost of living WITHOUT raising our wages as well! Either they relinquish their power to us or use that power to help us out. If they don't, we will break the cycle right here right now. We want to be workers, NOT SLAVES! There's a difference between the two, a difference THEY clearly don't understand!
@port nut Exactly why I admire and respect the Marxists and socialists and communists who fought and died and suffered in prison and worked so hard for everyone's fair and equal economic freedom.
I am gen X and I have kids. I don’t have retirement savings can’t afford a house and I will die broke most likely. Sad that my parents the boomers screwed over every generation after them!
You hit the nail on the head especially for Millennials. The 2008 recession screwed us. I graduated in 2010 and felt the impact. I could not find any well paying jobs, on top of that being a young professional when I did obtain a few jobs I lost them ( being young and naive). Once I landed a full time job with decent pay which was nearly two years after graduating I held on to that job.

Well you’re not getting anything for under 300k that doesn’t need to be gutted and re modelled… also, the cost of groceries? 100$ gets you little to nothing… am I missing something? Gahhhh. Overwhelmed with this earth.
If I am to have kids, I need to be happy and wealthy FIRST, NOT AFTER! I don't want my kids to suffer BECAUSE OF ME!

I know myself will enough if i were to have one, they would end up suicidal like me
Fully agree with you, though please, don't suicide. Get help if needed.
Very true. Sorry to hear of your experience

Fair enough & same here 😊
So true. I have YET to meet a genuinely happy mother.
I’m the same. Financially comfortable but no desire for kids. Don’t you find that people see that you’re financially comfortable and use that as another reason why you should have them?! I get quite annoyed at other people’s closed off minds and prying questions.

For sure.

Boomers: "Entry level jobs that pay a living wage: Must have a PhD, 10 years of unpaid internships using software from 2019, experience as a Microsoft CEO, no paid time off, and 24/7 availability. And charge $30,000 for child birth because the well-being of families with a newborn are less important than the insurance CEO's third yacht."
Also Boomers: "Why aren't young people having kids?"
100%. They know exactly why people aren't having kids, they are just too cowardly of a generation to admit they are the causes of all the problems they complain about.
Fucking boomers had it good, so they had to ruin it for everyone else.
My parents basically sold their souls to have my siblings and I. I get that it's smart waiting that long for your first kid but I would absolutely not want a 13-year-old at at 50 lol
47 years old, never had kids...best decision I ever made. I like kids but the ones that you can give back.
Get a pet
You are absolutely right.
Right 100%
I’m a millennial and my main reasons that are swaying me in the direction to not have kids are:
1. Don’t want to have huge amounts of debt
2. Want to travel
3. Climate change
I also completely agree with you that the world doesn’t seem like a positive place right now. I’m a very compassionate and empathetic person and sometimes I just can’t handle all the hate and anger that is going on right now.
I'm 33 and I want a tubal ligation, I don't have a job and I don't want to be a mother, kids are very expensive, I want to travel, save money for my retirement, and my disease need attention, I prefer to use the money of my future job in my heath that in diapers
climate change is more important than you having your own kids? u guys are so disturbed. nothing is more important than your happiness and your family. @@PandarenCH I'm too compassionate with others to force someone without their consent into this rigged game. It's so selfish having kids nowadays.
I was born in the 80s. I'm not depressed, in fact I'm pretty awesome and everyone else sucks. I still don't want any damn kids. Deal with it world.

I declare you cool
Women are smarter today and having kids do not keep you and the father together. You are going to end up as a single parent. I think some men just want kids to just say they had kids. But they won’t be hands on. The world isn’t a safe place anymore.
You are right
....
That’s a good thing, we dont need overpopulation to get worse
Nailed it🎯 I think like this everyday
yeah but the incline is WAY to much.
My reason for not having kids: I don't feel the need.
Great, I don't want them too
I am an early Millennial born on May 25th, 1983 and part of the reason why I don’t want children is because I have high functioning autism and raising children would be a lot for me with my autism.
Inflation only helped if you owned wealth producing assets or inflation hedge assets i.e. real estate.
You are technically being paid less than your ancestors were for doing the same job because older generations do not understand how inflation reduces the spending power of currency. If they say "Back in my day I worked for the same amount of money you work for" they do not consider that they were technically making more money than you because inflation was not a factor.
Forcing someone into existence without them asking you, is immoral. No birth=no death, no pain, no suffering.
Because I want to spend my money on myself.
A lot of people dont need or want kids

I want kids eventually but since I started working I realized it’s one of the many things that I’ve wanted that I had to scratch off the list for now

@@iBMcFly It's not selfish if they know how much of a chore it is.
Happy not being a dad. The planet is too much of a fucking mess.

Your delusional ‘needs’, narcissism, selfishness, boredom to death, low IQ, sadistic nature, recklessness, god complex syndrome, virtue signaling syndrome, cowardice caused/ will cause the death of your spawn.
Most NPCs are indifferent. The best proof of their recklessness is that our species has survived until now. They did not care about the pain and sorrows going on around them, and they continued the pain by breeding like unconscious animals. It also explains why this world is such a mess, because NPCs who do not think about their potential children, do not foresee the risks that may happen to them, do not care, do not empathize, how much do they take these things into consideration in other matters, right? This world is made for sadists and they love to see non-sadists suffer.
The worst thing one can do is bring another human into this hell we call life. Breeding in a nutshell: ‘Can I break anybody's leg to make them appreciate how good they had it when their leg was fine?’. Cursing an innocent being via breeding like an unconscious animal with a lifelong of exploitation, disease, misery, suffering, cancer and finally death is sooooo moral, ethical, non-selfish, non-narcissistic, altruistic, nice.

Technically 18 years not really your whole life. 18 years fly by.
Even if my life was perfect, I wouldn't breed. I have better things to do.
i dont want kids bcuz its useless. I want to live free and travel the world + focus on my career

@Liz R No doubt some anti natalist media figures brainwashed you to think that.
True! Because my husband and I have no kids and we are happy and enjoying life ☺️
Every reason you mentioned is why I don't want kids, but I also don't find kids cute.
You're honest thats not selfish. You're actually sparing your kids from hell on earth. You're doing your kids a favor
@London Girl There are these things called gyms to help the body after pregnancies.
@@mizuki3183 There are parents that have the ability to do both. Hence why you're seeing alot of start ups happening by people who are parents.
It's nice to see that we're all viewing the world the same. At work, a lot of people are choosing not to have kids, so I see some similarity there. I see all these TH-cam videos about people choosing not to have kids there. I see articles on Google searches about people choosing not to have kids. I see this entire comment section giving rational explanations for choosing not to have kids. We didn't all band together, or go to one "champion" speaker and listen to them order us not to have kids. We all just observed the world and came to the same conclusions.
Birth is literally being sentanced to life
When you are totally innocent.
Enjoy the collapse when that happens.
Well then don´t expect any pension.
@TheMouse02 - She won't need one as she hasn't got parasitic kids draining her finances!
Considering how many people are damaged by their previous exposure as kids I'm surprised anyone wants kid

I'm a guy and I would marry someone only if she agrees to not have kids 🙂🙂
Sounds about right.
And she be on birth control pills or make herself infertile or I have a vasectomy.
I guess you hate your money, peace of mind and sanity.
Government actually isn't happy because all the government programs they offer won't get paid for without as much tax revenue
I have so much unresolved childhood trauma and it would destroy me to pass that on to an innocent child.

I'm 16, I know I will never have kids. I also know I'm aromantic asexual. Someone who is 40+ years old has no right to say I'll change.
Don’t let anyone tell you that you’ll change your mind. I’ve known my entire life that I don’t want kids. I’m 32 and I was right even as a child… it ain’t for me! We aren’t dominoes.
Same aro ace as well. The old people just dont understand either that or they want you to suffer with them lol
I’m 27. You’ll change.
I’m not the same person from high school.
I mean do you still believe in everything from when you were 5? Or have the same interests/ideas? Humans are always changing….that’s life…..
Lol you apparently haven't heard of the 1st amendment.
I'm with you 100%. When you do they are often with somebody already.
I’m just happy that gen z and millennials don’t want children😂
You won’t be happy when a society dies because of it.
Same, I used to think that I was the only one.
Same. I don't owe society and this world anything, not even my seed, fuck society. 😤
Why would Gen Z have Kids when most are still kids 😂
@@TheLastMillennials Why would they even have kids in general is what you should be asking.
I'm gen x and don't want kids. I did not have any. I don't have to explain why to anyone and no other woman has to either no matter the generation.
I just want a partner and no kids...they are too expensive
We can't afford kids
im 25 with zero desires to have kids, Im even considering getting my tubes tied because F that, my sister just had a kid and it ruined her life and traumatized me, everything about it is horrible.
that's good when you are having sex you wont be worried that you might get pregnant
You might have to jump through some hoops to get this done. My neighbor certainly did. Her doctor wouldn't consider it until she had 6.kids Personally i think they should just let you have the operation, no questions asked.
@@FruityPebbles-420 yeah 6 months later and doctors keep telling me no :(
@@thesweetestbear Have you tried finding another doctor that may be willing? I would ask people you know first.
sorry to hear that about your sis. you come frome a broken home don‘t you? may allah, cheesus, buddah or whoever is the CEO of the Matrix bless you.
Kids are cool. I have to two of them. love to be a dad.
cheers❤
This video is very reassuring. I come from a conservative background, so it's hard to admit even to myself that I might not want to have children. If anything I would want to adopt a child and give them a good life, but, yeah, you gotta fight so freaking hard to become financially stable (if it's possible at all) that I'm not sure if I'll be able to do that...
I still feel less out of place when I see that I'm not the only "odd" one who has this type of thoughts :)
I don't want a kids, I think I am not mature enough to give my kids a good life.
Personally I dont want kids cuz I dont want them to go through what we are going through rn
I also dont feel like I have the responsibility to have kids
It is so funny how people expect you to want to bring more people into the world despite hammering you with the quote: "Life is unfair." And if it is unfair, would it also be unfair to the unborn to be forced into undergoing the same struggles you did? If you have the option to be fair, why not? Be what life is not, and be fair to someone by not bringing them into unfavorable cirucmstances.
I don’t want to raise children in this environment
@@thewarrior6784 Exactly!
@@briankier2189 yup
You hit the nail on the head especially for Millennials. The 2008 recession screwed us. I graduated in 2010 and felt the impact. I could not find any well paying jobs, on top of that being a young professional when I did obtain a few jobs I lost them ( being young and naive). Once I landed a full time job with decent pay which was nearly two years after graduating I held on to that job.
Even without the Recession, there would still be some BS reasons.
They’re expensive lmao
100$ in gas to fill up my car just to go to work & home everyday. Real estate market?? Well you’re not getting anything for under 300k that doesn’t need to be gutted and re modelled… also, the cost of groceries? 100$ gets you little to nothing… am I missing something? Gahhhh. Overwhelmed with this earth.
i wish they wouldn't say "why don't millenials and GenZ want kids?" they should say, "why don't they dare have kids"
