Honestly, single player would be SO much better if battle mode were like mkds and if they actually had mission mode

I personally didn't really like the battle mode in Mario kart ds.
Balloon battle is pretty much just a red shell fest and it's pretty unfair when you lose.
And I don't even remember the last time I lost in shine runners.
Ikr Wii’s mission mode is mediocre especially considering the fact that they took away the “last man standing” aspect... it’s not bad but I find mk ds mission mode superior

They shouldn't have scrapped it for Mario Kart Wii. It's literally the only thing that was missing from the game (besides maybe Petey Piranha as a playable character or something, but that's besides the point). I'd be fine with waiting an extra couple of months for release of the game if it meant we got a mission mode.
@@markymark443 I think they scrapped it because they replaced it with Tournament mode, which was like a similar thing but as special online events. Very big brain of Nintendo however to not realize that online-based stuff is never permanent, so putting Mission Mode on online instead of offline was sooooooooo high IQ of them, sooo high IQ >:(

I recently subbed to the channel because of your amazing and in depth Mario Kart Wii videos.
I want mission mode back. Seeing these missions even with the variety of mods that people make even to this day is fascinating.
It really makes me want to try and fix my Wii so I can play MKWii again.

Wow. I didnt follow the development of customs missions but those mission are really cool and look pretty well done. A big kudos to whoever created those and created this pack. Awesome!

4:50 I was watching the map and they were absolutely rubber banding during that race. I guess it was the only way the mission could be deemed hard for the 2 minute timer.

I thought this was one of the old mission mode videos until I realized you mentioned platinum beast, lol.

Mission mode is cool in Mario Kart DS, but in Mario Kart Wii it's also good.
Btw I love it, when you say: "Hey guys. It's Troy here" on the beginning. For me it's the best beginning of a video because it's so relaxing. No joke 😊
