Hi Pete, the answer is 'it depends'. If the boat has slowed, then a big roll is needed to accelerate the boat, in which case dragging the boom momentarily is acceptable. If you feel the boat is already moving fast then less roll is needed so the boom won't hit the water.

Great to see actual perfect roll tacks, most "perfect Laser roll tack" videos get the rudder out of the water and lose control
