"each girl unique and special" war flashbacks of "Anastasia"'s tercentenary ball sequence in the prologue and the "Once Upon A December" background dancers sequence
@@Pithuahua13Hehe of course not! They changed some things other than the hair! Like the skin tones…in the very beginning the girls facial features (or how ever you say it) are also different! You just gotta look veryyyy closelyyyy also from my over analyzing it seems that they also changed their bodies aswell…but yknow just maybe!
1:35 I am mesmerised by the smoothness of the footwork at this part. It’s not a bunch of steps which would’ve been fije but might look a little clunky (i’ve seen a cover do it) but it’s such a smooth fluid shuffle. I dunno, I just like how effortless it looks. Also, movie notice. I noticed that Lilo’s spot is meant to be the centre of the kids. Being centre probably means she’s actually the best dancer of them all and Lilo knows it too. She seamlessly joins in even though she was late and she looks like she is having the most fun out of all of them.
Maybe that explains why her teacher was so tolerant of her shenanigans, as well as because he felt sympathy for the poor girl and her grief. Could also explain how she dealt with grief, which is through dance. But yeah I always thought Lilo was the best dancer since she gives her all in every dance. Maybe that is why the other girls disliked her, not just due to her being a different girl in personality but also due to envy...
After living in Hawaii for a few years, it adds some new meaning to listen to and watch this, because not only do I have more appreciation for hula, but I can recognize certain words and names in the song that I remember, and it helps me start to visualize the story
A reminder that they animated this BY HAND. They could've rotoscoped it, but they didn't want it to look how rotoscoping always looks. So they animated it by hand.
It all just PROVES..it’s a CHOICE…it’s always been a CHOICE how they present other people to their children and the world. It’s all very carefully planned and thought out. Always has been by design.
@@downhomesunsetActually-and I think that this fact is the coolest part of this-they tried specifically not to use any rotoscoping! All of this was painstakingly animated by hand from reference footage!

It is amazing how they are so talented and blessed by their talent to dance and might bring the gospel to others to help love each other instead of judging individuals it might make them understand better.
Wow, this almost seems accurate lol. And is @0:36 - 0:48 the dance move in the hula? we didn't see the older hula dancers during this part, but Lilo leaving the beach to get to school.
the choreographer created a dance for the whole song, but disney only used a small part of it. This section of the dance was recorded in a behind-the-scenes video and with the song playing, so I was able to match it up to this part of the video.
@@katielee1750 oh really? wow lol. you know, I really did wish the crew in Lilo & Stitch released a video or footage of the whole dance cuz I actually wanted to learn the unseen moves and combine it. lol

Oh they do. Many still want to draw. But corporations like Disney make more money and spend less money with CGI, live action, and 3-D computer generated cartoons. Unfortunately.
What makes this movie so special, is the fact that the animators took time to make each girl unique and special and also use the true dance

Not literally everyone adores it 😛 There isn't a thing on Earth that literally everyone adores.
THe crazy part is that there was no rotoscoping involved with animating this hula dance, Walt would be proud of them.
Isn't it true some of this style of animation is still done to this day

She's got that natural talent. She must've gotten it from her mom who won competitions too

also Lili'uokalani was the one who restored the dancing of the hula, formerly forbidden by the #NuttyChristians as idolatry

I think she also wrote the song "Aloha Oe" ("Farewell To Thee").
Thank you for the translation! That is so much more beautiful knowing the meaning and importance of the lyrics to native Hawaiians.
Thing is, Disney's Recess showed me the basics of Hula Dancing, while the Lilo and Stitch film showed the advanced moves of Hula.
I'm so happy I grew up with this Disney and not with CGI and live action Disney 🥰

#NuttyChristians formerly forbade the performance of hula as "idolatry", and it was thanks to Lili'uokalani that hula still exists to this day
Why would they want to spread your gospel? You Christians tried as hard as you could to destroy Hawaiian culture.
