WE DID IT! Awesome comeback drive! "unreal overtakes!" BIKC Regionals 2023! Teamsport Newcastle!

What a fantastic day at BIKC Regionals! Out of 4,500 drivers entered we're now in the top 45. First off, an absolutely massive Thank you to Fin for all the help, he gave me so many tips both via a video call and watching me on track and even came to practice sessions I was on so I could follow his line, and really helped me get to pace quickly. A Big thank you to my Grandad G for traveling with me and supporting me at the track. Thank you to all the staff it was super well organized and the staff were super helpful. Especially a shout-out to the race director and his assistants. Here is what happened and the results.
So there are two groups, each has a Qualifying, two 8-minute heat races, and 1 semi-final. The top 6 from each semi-final, race in the grand final, and the Top 3 in Scotland qualify for Nationals.
My Results.
Qualifying:
P2
Way more in the lap but didn't get a good lap together.
Heat 1, 8 Minute race:
P1 BY 20 SECONDS!
Took the lead by the 3rd corner then just pulled away.
Heat 2. 8 Minute Race:
P1, 10-second lead!
Took the lead around the outside of turn 2 and again pulled away.
Semi Final 12 Minute race:
P3 With the fastest lap.
I started p1 for the semi-final...but with a kart someone had complained about. I turned in for the second corner, the same as I had in all the other sessions, and it felt like my tyres were on ice, and immediately went sideways. I got hit(not their fault I was in the middle of the track!) So was down to about p6. I did one of my best-ever drives. Getting through the field with some "unreal overtakes" up to p3, and gained on the two leaders, almost passing p2 on the final lap. One of the bikc managers came to me after the race and complimented my driving because of my pace and overtakes. There is a clip of what he said before I got out of the kart in this post, which gave me a much-needed confidence boost for the Grand Final.
GRAND FINAL.
P2
Started from p5 and fought my way through. Unfortunately, p2 defended well, which cost me the chance to catch the leader. However, I passed him on the final lap. Still, it was good defending by him. Overall happy with the grand final and a great job to Ross for the win! Just gutting knowing if I hadn't had the bad start to the semi-final I could have fought for the win the Grand final. If I was going to lose to anyone i was glad it was @ross .The main thing is that we are racing in nationals and was p2 in Scotland. So now I must study another completely new track to me and see what we can do in Round 3 for the grand prize!
