She already did... it would’ve been a great love story ending but seriously the scene where they didn’t end up together was way more better. This film portrayed the rawness of a divorce.
That's got to be the worst part. Poor Henry having to reconcile that eventually. This film was kinda the otherside of the coin with regards to The Squid and the Whale.

And how He found out and read the letter at the last part of the movie, is just heartwarming yet most heartbreaking part of this movie. I'm 22 yrs old, and I love this movie. It's just real.
You can tell she's an intelligent actress/woman. her mind is always going and it develops into this beautiful voice of different perspective on what a film is.
I definitely predict an Oscar for this role for her... maybe even for them both. The story and the dialogue between them is so raw and visceral. Amazing performances by all.

Worst place to say this. My parents never got married; they still argued a lot. Mostly verbal abuse. This movie brought me back to the days. Those days are part of what made me what and who I am. Amazing performance from the both of them. Can’t wait to never get married over the fear of hurting my significant other. (Also that “invisible man” costume was awesome)
@Anathema Nu The hell? In the first five minutes Scarlett's character does the exact same "gushing" over Adam's character. You can't jump to conclusions about the movie favoring a character over the other, both are equally flawed.

After that amazing 7 minute monologue, Scarlett essentially disappeared from the film and it focused solely on Adam Driver better totally did her character a disadvantage.

I really liked this movie, but I didn't like the swearing especially to the child. It made me feel things and it definitely made me cry and be reflective considering it has been over a year since my own divorce.
Everyone saying that both characters were very honest and transparent. But wasn't Scarlett's character more dishonest. They decide to do it without getting lawyers involved, but she hires a lawyer. She visits many other lawyer's offices so that the husband could not hire them. Has casual sex herself despite hating husband for him having sex once.

A lot of the shitty stuff she did was at the recommendation of her lawyer, though, who sucked. At the end, they both had faults, and both Adam and Scarlett gave AWESOME performances. We can agree on that 😉
Dude I hated that first scene she talks about. Not bc of her but bc I was never so aware that a camera was moving in a movie before. It completely took me out of the scene.
