Traffic Light Tree - Billingsgate Market London

Traffic Light Tree is a public art installation by French sculptor Pierre Vivant that is located on a roundabout outside Billingsgate Market in East London. This crazy and unusual piece of art contains 75 sets of traffic lights...I wonder how many drivers have been confused by them! All a bit strange.

I'm sure the artist would say something like "this represents, how in life, you are always to told to either stop or go and the futility of it all" or something.I wonder what happens when a light gets burnt out, especially one of the inner facing ones, I bet that's a pain.
