I’m a 76 year old instructor. Your presentation is give from your experience level! Stop thinking that way. In teaching give all the details: (1) torque amounts (2) bolt lengths where they go! You leave Too many doubts in students mind. Your product looks good sell it!
excellent video; but here's a question... how does it work given that the spacer plate (adaptor) is going to want to pull the input shaft of the transmission back compared to if you didn't use the adaptor? As in, do you have to compensate for the width of the adaptor with a longer trans input?
Better than great, I am doing the same thing but with a Jeep MJ Comanche with a SBC. I wish I had your set up, if wishes were like unicorns they would be in the way. Good job take a bow.
We have an AX15 running behind a 347 Stroker. It handles beautifully. For more info, I would shoot our guys a call. Jim, the guy in the video, usually isn't available but you can ask any of our guys and they should be able to get you the info you need.
Soooo believe it or not, that Bronco still doesn't have a body on it...😬😅 there are unfortunately some projects that get pushed to the side BUT if you have any questions, you can definitely give our tech guys a call. I know it's not the same as a video or as convenient sometimes, but with how busy it's been, I'm not sure that's an install we can do anytime soon.
so this is a kit that someone is supposed to buy to use an AX15 on to their Bronco? I can understand having to grind on the transmission for bolt clearance but having space on the adapter to the bell housing and needing new holes for the support bracket? Looks like this kit needs to go back to the drawing board. : /
I'm trying to install right now and do not have the bolts lining up to the support bracket at all. Unfortunately I don't have other broncos around to check alignment so I'm totally stopped in my tracks. Should the output of the trans be dead center of the frame rails? My trans is .75 inches to the passenger side. The slots were drilled 2 inches to the passenger side. looking at the install instructions my slots are milled in a different position than what they have shown in the pictures. Purchased from advanced adapters. This bracket isn’t working at all. Sucks. I have to take it to a machine shop.

I have seen guys cut the shaft a 1/4" is that universally recommended?

Thank you! Good luck with the Jeep!
How does an AX15 handle a V8? What’s the torque rating specs on your AX15’s?
