"I don't have to explain everything I do to you" 😂😂 really made me chuckle Chris. Those beads, just because, they will come in handy for something!! We all know it, we all do it 🤪
21:33 "I obviously need the income. I'm happy to share it all with you guys." So generous! 😄 Good value on the castors! The rubber has perished and fallen off the castors under my ~70s workbench, but I have no intention of upending it to replace them 😅 I'm pretty sure they're the screw-on type.
The "copper conduit" is M.I.M.S cable or Mineral Insulated Metal Sheathed. Better known as Pyro. As you mentioned it has a good fire rating as there is no plastic involved. Often used in fuel depots and similar places. Not cheap, and you need special tools to terminate it. A pin hole allowing moisture into the insulating powder can result in a big bang.
@@stephenw2992 True, same sort of construction, just with a single inner core of higher resistance wire. Nichrome? not sure, never installed the heating version.
Thanks Chris, it's remarkable how quickly the values mount up, I've got a load of old castors somewhere, if only I had a shop ! The stool is kinda cool, it's a shame it's heat damaged, I wonder if it would be more stable if you reversed the top and bottom cones ?
Of course Martin, I should have realised! I think they also suit the experimental one & two legged furniture that strangely never did well in the marketplace! 😉
Nice one mate. Hey Chris, could you explain to us the difference in the metal categories? Like Irony brass, Candy copper etc. I know you’ve mentioned it before but you’ve got a lot more subscribers now. Thanks mate.
So I’m not the only one with a bucket of Castors, 😳, definitely Anodes, and yes I feel you do need to explain why we keep things, only so I can tell the missus, keep on going Chris .
Sorry Sharyn, too late for that one! I do get them (in much better condition) in the shop quite regularly. I actually have a really nice bakelite one at the moment for $20..

made me chuckle too!
Hahaha - sorry for getting a little defensive!! 🤣🤣
haha@@TheUltimateRecycler I know you didn't mean it like that! Very much enjoying your channel
Good to see your subscriber base growing, Chris. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Grant 😊👍
Always a good day when a bucket of brass shows up. Good haul.
Indeed mate, buckets of brass are always welcome! 😁
The monetary value in these boxes etc. never ceases to amaze me!
And me Dee! 😁

Haha, not sure I was meaning I'd share my income!! 😂😂
Nice lot of brass. We used to have one of those Caroma seats, an orange one from memory. 👍
Thanks Alex! They must have made lots of them as they turn up fairly regularly! Orange ones are less common!
Quite a lot of money from junk as you say. Very nice 👍
It's nearly always surprising the value in a box of junk! Thanks mate! 👍😊
Strong clever design on the Caroma. I wouldn't be surprised to walk into Ikea and see one just like it
Yeah, I think there are modern equivalents out there! Thanks Nas 👍😊
Wheelie amazing retro stool! 😆👍
Haha, yep! There had to be at least one "wheelie" joke! 🤣
you could put a surprise in the stool.....🍍....... love your videos
Haha, yes I could! Maybe a small bag of dope for people still living in the 60s/70s! 🤣🤣
Thanks Melissa! 😊👍
Thanks for sharing
Thanks Cynthia 😃

They also used it for floor heating cast into concrete slabs.

Thanks for the info John & Stephen! Yeah, I imagine it would be very expensive!

Good idea with the stool Andy - I did try it the other way and it was about the same! Thanks mate 👍😊
Check to see if spur is from WW1 Lighthorse 🧐
No markings at all on it Lostdigger, but good thought 👍😊
Those aren't missing a caster... those are from a range of early collectable tripod furniture 🙂

Thanks Glen, yep - hopefully I find another bucket of mixed scrap and can give a bit more info 👍😊
Thanks mate.
They look like a couple of sacrificial anodes that go in the top of hot water cylinders
Yep, that's what they turned out to be! 👍😊
😉
Thanks Joy! 😀👍

Haha, thanks Ian! I'll try and come up with an explanation that both our missus will believe! 😉🤣
Chris, please don't scrap the tape measure... I will take it off your hands
