At 1:20, it looks like the ride was originally designed to have a mid course brake run to allow 3 train operations, but it has only ever operated with 2 trains as Iron Wolf, Apocalypse, and Firebird, so the MCBR was never added. The final brake run looks to have two waiting blocks, which would allow 3 train operations with the MCBR, but given the short ride length and slow dispatches of stand up coasters, there would be no benefit to 3 train operations since the 3rd train would always stack.
I was afraid of rollarcoasters but I was basically peer pressured into riding it by a few of my friends and I was crying right until the point of the first drop. Best experience ever. You can’t even feel the drops so if it’s the drop you worry about don’t sweat it. This was when corona was just starting so no one was in the park so me and my friends rode the ride 6-7 times without having to gets in line at all
B&M is an AMAZING company to use when it comes to your first coaster. They don't have a bad ride, like seriously. Even this one being their first ever coaster is STILL great. My first coaster was Great Bear at Hersheypark, and I immediately fell in love with the company and coasters in general.

I am confused how they're motivated enough to change the trains on this coaster but not replace the PTC trains on Roar with Millennium Flyer trains, or the trains on Mind Eraser with the ones with the comfortable restraints like T3 at Kentucky Kingdom or Fly the Great Nor' Easter at Morey's Piers. And don't tell me they got rid of the airplane with the fire effect. What other theming from Apocalypse did they remove?

Six flags should just sell this park to a chain that will actually invest in new attractions and not just hand me downs. I stopped getting season passes for this park after the 07 season when instead of getting a coaster they chose to put in yet another waterpark attraction for 08 and haven't returned there since. Now Kings dominion appears to be following that same trend so it looks like I'll be going to Busch gardens Williamsburg from now on instead.

Well far as the motivation a B&M coaster has more market value than a vekoma SLC or a wooden coaster going probably 95% or more unchanged with different trains. That and Roar is oddly comfortable, but they really should stop being cheap and just beat Millennium Flyer trains on Roar. What did they do with the ones they ran on the used to be roar now destroyed into the worst RMC joker anyway? I can't see much motivation to care about the SLC, the only one they did anything too was the one at Six Flags New England so far, and, they might do it in the near future here, but if this was a "pick one" thing, they went for the one that'll attract people far more. After all, a B&M floorless conversion may not solve everything, but standing up was pretty horrible pain wise. "Fixing" an SLC is still not exactly too great, and while I acknowledge I am expressing my own opinion, tbh I don't think any Vekoma SLC is re-ride-able no matter what kind of trains or "re-profiling" etc they do (also not hating on vekoma I actually like boomerangs and custom loopers they have done, etc.)
OneAndOnlySound I like that explanation, but in the end we can both agree that the Millennium Flyer trains would be a better fit for Roar. And they should be motivated to changing the restraints on the Mind Eraser because a comfortable ride becomes a popular ride. After all, parks don't want to be known for having rough rides.
I hope this catches on in the chain, the floorless conversion, or non-stand up in general. You can just see that the ride is at least 50% smoother even on an older B&M where the craft wasn't quite there for such smooth transitions (that wierd not actually a break straight section for instance). Aside from that, I'm glad Six Flags America now has a *good*(keyword: good not great like most but still fun and a solid ride). Also a piece of history, the first made without contracting out or half the team+intamin, etc. I think an RMC raptor either the basic model or a the third model RMC designed we may or may not have seen yet (there is one not seen, then one was shown in an advertisement video originally). They don't need to RMC Roar, it's awesome, but why it doesn't run MF GCI trains is dumb. This place has lots of potentional, I like that it isn't super packed and whatnot but it has deserved better for many years.
My man, this is not a good B&M. This was B&M's first ever coaster and it's really obvious. The first order of business for Six Flags America is to give Roar the RMC treatment.

This one would’ve been okay but I kept hitting my head, even when I sat with my head back like it said to do. It’s probably my least favorite one there.
Mid course’s allow for three trains. Firebird runs two trains when it is crowded so usually Friday-Sunday. The only coaster they don’t run two trains on recently is Batwing since they are being a little sensitive with it because it breaks down often.
I haven't ridden any stand-ups so far, so it makes me kinda sad to see all of them becoming ordinary floorless coasters. I really hope to get to ride one of those before they are all converted.
Depending on where you live, Green Lantern at Six Flags Great Adventure and Georgia Scorcher at Six Flags Over Georgia are the best you can get without crushing your nuts.

Anyone remember when 20 years ago six flags drew up a list of proposed attractions with the county zoning board that by 2003 they never followed through on adding? That happened because at the time six flags corporate was too fixated on adding large scale investments only to their new Jersey, California, Dallas and Chicago parks. Cedar fair does the same thing with their two Ohio parks, their Charlotte park and their Canadian park while ignoring the remaining parks in their respective chains.
Three years later, Cedar Fair is adding Zambezi Zinger to Worlds of Fun and they're probably going to add a Dive coaster to Dorney Park. And Merlin is adding a Mack Hyper to Thorpe Park and a B&M launched shuttle family wing coaster to Chessington. (Somewhat disappointing; Thorpe Park needs a longer rollercoaster, and Chessington needs a higher-capacity rollercoaster. But still.)
I rode this on Monday for the first time and it was actually my first non-wooden roller coaster and loop coaster and let me tell you from my experience. It’s was kinda boring and I kept hitting my head.

So the coaster I found boring decades ago became a coaster I found boring for about a half dozen years ago and is now a coaster that looks exactly as boring today.
This used to be a decently themed ride. Should have kept the old theme instead of turning it into yet another six flags ride with some blunt ass theme with no actual theming
“Floorless Coaster” Superman, Batman, and Bizzaro. Why is this ride being marketed as something innovative? Does the riding station not have a floor when you’re about to get on? Because the concept of a floor-less coaster has already been done.
It is marketed as the first floorless coaster in Maryland which is 100% correct. Mind Eraser is considered an inverted model because the track is above you. On Firebird, there is no floor and the track is below your feet.
This needs a retrack. And turn the straight track at 1:21 into a mid-course break run. Even with all the stabilisation, this video is still shaky. That's how rough Firebird is. And it's a shame, because this park really needs a high-capacity ride.
They won’t retrack it. If they were to retrack it they would have kept the stand up. This conversion was just to try and extend the service life of the coaster for a few years
Wild One is all about airtime and so is Superman. Roar focuses on the laterals and twister sections. It is a great coaster especially in the front and during the colder months. I would want a RMC Raptor that replaces Penguin. Parks CAN have two wooden coasters.

Six Flags America already had Superman: Ride of Steel. That is a good ride, in spite of the one-train ops.

Say what you want about the smoothness and the layout, but at least they took out the midcourse.
They took out the mid course when they moved it to SFA and turned it into Apocalypse, so that really doesn’t help it’s case
I rode this 3 days ago and this ride hurt my ears with the overhead restraints and head knocking. Didn’t matter if you ride the front or the back.

They did the same thing at Cedar Point and it got great reviews so that is why SFA decided to do it plus Apocalypse needed an upgrade.

@@Merrymarianna61209 If it wasn’t for the head banging I would actually like this ride. The first drop and loop feel pretty good in the back. Not much after that, but I would ride it just to stay away from Roar.
Technically it’s still B&M’s first coaster so that’s cool to know when riding it today

People complained how uncomfortable this ride was as Apocalypse as it was a stand up coaster.
So a floorless conversion makes it a little bit better.
Like how Mantis at Cedar Point was transformed into Rougarou. Stand up coaster...to a floorless.
This looks to be the same as Medusa at Discovery Kingdom!

It’s definitely more comfortable than apocalypse even though the removal of all the theming is annoying but the colors look great It’s still a meh coaster though

So the coaster I found boring decades ago became a coaster I found boring for about a half dozen years ago and is now a coaster that looks exactly as boring today.
I know and this coaster was used in Richie Rich’s back yard a huge joke

This used to be a decently themed ride. Should have kept the old theme instead of turning it into yet another six flags ride with some blunt ass theme with no actual theming

Why is this ride being marketed as something innovative? Does the riding station not have a floor when you’re about to get on? Because the concept of a floor-less coaster has already been done.
It is marketed as the first floorless coaster in Maryland which is 100% correct. Mind Eraser is considered an inverted model because the track is above you. On Firebird, there is no floor and the track is below your feet.

This needs a retrack. And turn the straight track at 1:21 into a mid-course break run.
Even with all the stabilisation, this video is still shaky. That's how rough Firebird is. And it's a shame, because this park really needs a high-capacity ride.

Can you retrack in off season and add some themeing if you bring back the themeing for apocalypse it be better
Honestly, this new theme is fine. I like the landscaping they are doing around it which they did not do around Apocalypse.
Also retracing a steel coaster is diffrent and harder from retracking a woodin coaster

They won’t retrack it. If they were to retrack it they would have kept the stand up. This conversion was just to try and extend the service life of the coaster for a few years

Keep Roar and get a RMC Raptor instead! Roar is running amazing lately especially during Holiday in the Park.

Wild One is all about airtime and so is Superman. Roar focuses on the laterals and twister sections. It is a great coaster especially in the front and during the colder months. I would want a RMC Raptor that replaces Penguin. Parks CAN have two wooden coasters.
Thrill Source Roar is a very old GCI and it’s absolutely unbearable.
