Merry Christmas!😀Hope you are well🙂Glad to see you on my channel again. Tried to show you something pretty, though some already blame me with Russian propaganda😁
@@farawayinRussia lol? Russian propaganda? Thats funny. But, even if you did push Russian propaganda... So what? Russia doesn't need to be ashamed for their propaganda. The West needs to be ashamed for theirs.
@@plumtree8713 Yes, under that video clip about houses I filmed after you asked (by the way, 9 000 people have already seen). There were comments that it's a Russian propaganda, and not to believe any of it! Lol)))
Thanks. Most of Russians prefer celebration at home with a family, some not. We also have Orthodox Chrismas--on the 7th of January, I didn't say about it in my video for some reason.
A surprise🙂 Though I lived in one house with Polish girls and guys in London a long ago. We noticed that we started to understand each other's language for 60 per cent at least, not joking. Many words alike, not like Hungarian you don't understand a bit, different group of languages.
Hi! Thanks🙂It's quite nice now, and not too cold; even couldn't get into the main skating rink today: the whole city had the urges to skate. Take care too.🙂
Just found your site after you commented on Wild Siberia's page. Very nice video Olga. As an American looking to become an expat after retirement in your beautiful country I am extremely curious about Russia. I will go back and view your past videos. I seen you had prices on housing. By the way. That green outfit you have on is amazing and beautiful.
Thanks a lot. 🙂I don't like the way I looked (because of the light in the room), the operator said that I look a lot better in life than in this video)), but I decided to keep it because the viewers come to know something about Russia, not to look at me lol). My favorite videos on this channel are "The mysteries of Ural mountains" and "The mystery of the murder of the tsar in Russia", but tastes are different. Always welcome to my channel🙂
@Far away in Russia Olga Well in sunlight I bet it shines and sparkles. I can see you have a good personality and this makes everything worthwhile. And yes, people come to watch what you create but some also come to watch you, also. I'll view your other videos and comment from time to time. What matters is that you enjoy the content you create. We are just the viewers. Not everyone will like everything but that's ok.
Is that "Winter Salad" the same as "Оливье"? We always had this salad during celebrations like New Years and birthdays. My sister still makes it for special occasions even though we left Russia in 1978.
Hi, Olga! It is interesting to see our native Jekaterinburg through your eyes. The traditional salad of 'Olivye' and 'Herring under a fur coat' is a relic of Soviet times. Оur family celebrates the New Year at the dacha (тёплый дом с газом, но зрителям с 15 -19 градусами в квартирах этого не обязательно знать, что у многих тут пустые дачные дома отапливаются лишь для проведения выходных и праздников ))), we dress up a big live spruce (from a crane), aha, we are less ecology and reduce CO2😉. We're celebrating Christmas, by the way. Nobody drinks alcohol .. Russians began to monitor their health and are doing more and more sports.
Hi🙂I could argue about alcohol, but I also think that many drink less nowadays. Меня уже и так в видосе про домики обвинили в пророссийской пропаганде особо одарённые))), так что их лучше не травмировать.🙂

Yes, the same salad 🙂 At least two names of it, some also call it "Russian salad".

Every beautiful ice sculpture will turn to water at the end of winter 😥
The only consolation is that the winter in the Urals lasts at least till the beginning of April😄
@@farawayinRussia Some Americans think that here, up in Canada, we get 9 months of winter and 3 months of poor skating. It is not quite that bad.
