😂😂😂 lovely Tchaikovsky music is an interesting choice of the accompaniment here. I think people around the world save things for a "what if" moment. That's what makes it endearing. Thank you, Olga.
It's a controversial video.🙂But I was actually joking when I said that we keep things in case of war. Hm... I guess I showed everything too realistic)))
@@farawayinRussia Hey, I hate to say it, but you never know. Sadly, your words may turn out to be prolific. 😱 I hope not, but as the saying goes "A man makes a plan but it is G-d who has the last laugh". Hope you also enjoy our other videos. Timothy likes to hear that his 10 Russian words he can pronounce are good 🤣
Alot of people here, save everything also, and some sit in their garage and watch the cars go by. The one with all the books made me laugh, when he said it was a curtain. He probably could have made shelves out of the books too. Have a great week, watching from USA!
This is fascinating. In the US some of us also keep old appliances around when we should toss it. I think it's not trashy. It's better for the environment to try to keep you from buying more parts. I would do it if I had a garage!
Hi) I thought that hoarding is mainly Russian trait of character due to its history. Many people here make the storage from the balcony and dachas as well, but you are right--at least it's better for the environment even if it's not very attractive))
I saw a documentary on the BBC about Russion garages and found it really interesting. People were using them for so many different things, one guy had been digging down for decades and made several levels and he had no explanation for this, others were gyms, places to hang out, food production and many more things and they were all very proud o f their mini empires lol.
Yeah, that's right. But most usually they are used for storage. Of course, you won't find any of these garages in the center of Moscow (I haven't seen any- to tell the truth- even in the suburbs), and there aren't any in the very center of my city of 1, 5 million. And you know, for some reason, I really show everything worse than it is, even said in one video that salaries are smaller than they are...for some reason didn't want people to be disappointed if they come to Russia first time. Now it' s no longer relevant of course lol)
You should paint that sh i tt_y graffiti. I have also a garage in Poland. It's very good to have own garage. It's useful not only for car. Bicycles, plenty of Books, and much other stuff. 4 seasons tires are better. I like music in your videos. And generally i like your vids. I love where it's cold. I like winters. I hate when it's too hot.
Thanks🙂But when I said that we keep things in case of war I was joking. Who knew. When everything would settle down come to Russia (if you like winters)), it's a great place to visit. Finally I'm making the new vid about Yeltsin center now (lots of stuff inside), so do drop in to my channel, hope it'll be out in several hours or tomorrow.

@@farawayinRussia There was one thing I did not see in the garage - an old typewriter!
@@JayTulip I guess the next couple years will be crucial.
I'm going to check out how he tries out Russian food now🙂

so many books are there of which subjects
Scientific mainly. Some fiction too. But when I was saying about "some keep things in case of war"--I was joking. Who knew...
