This is what I call "pocket blues". Henrik is an insane intense player. The whole band is incredible.

Ist mir ganz und gar unverständlich, daß es wohl immer noch Menschen in dieser Republik gibt, die Henrik Freischlader nicht kennen!!! So viel Gefühl, Groove, Ideen und Charakter im Ton, das ist unvergleichlich. Da kommt mir nur noch Helmut Krumminga in den Sinn.

Tout simplement génial! Henrik Freischlader est un des meilleurs guitaristes qui existent, sans oublier les excellents musiciens qui l'accompagnent. Son jeu et son feeling sont extraordinaires, avec une son naturel de toute beauté (pour qui veut entendre le vai son d'une LP, ben voilà...). Un grand merci de nous faire partager cela! Have been following Henrik since I was in India. Now that I'm in Berlin, can't wait to see him play live, hopefully sometime soon.
I listen to Henrik over the year, he is getting better and better, singing playing..fantastic live musican...every blues lover should know him all over the world. No one plays like him..

Wow, what a great band!! I use to live in Texas and was out playing nearly every night and these guys are superb! Warren Haynes is also a 30+ year friend and this guy's as great as Warren!

That was a masterclass on how expressive and toneful a burst can be in the right hands. Definitely has that "Telecaster on steroids" tone which comes out loud and clear through that Two-Rock. Masterful playing and great tones from Henrik. Thanks a lot for the video, it was a treat to watch.

What a great gig! Have listened to Henrik for more than 10 years now and this was the best I've heard him and the band for a long time. So very groovy - keep it up Henrik!
I got to know Henrik Freischlader at the end of 2009 when he played as the support act for B.B. King at the Color Line Arena in Hamburg - the Freischlader Band was a quartet at the time and Moritz Fuhrhop was on the Hammond. Over the years, Freischlader has changed both the line-up of the band and the style of playing (at least a little) from time to time. Sometimes he has played as a trio, sometimes as a quintet, for a while even as a kind of "big band" with a second guitarist, saxophonist and singers. Now he has apparently come full circle, playing blues-rock in the classic line-up of guitar, keyboards, bass and drums, with all positions filled by absolute professionals. None of them are strangers: Hardy Fischötter had already played drums during the tours in 2007 and 2010, Mo Fuhrhop has been with the band since the 2008 project "5 Live In The Kitchen" and Armin Alic already played in that "Big Band" in 2018 ...
As long as there are bands like this, and great musicians like this, I'm not afraid for the future of music, amazing tone feeling, and playing..

Seine Anfänge in Wuppertal hättest du erleben müssen. Er war mit 16 bereits sehr stark. Wir waren eine Zeitlang befreundet. Er ist ein guter Typ.

How not to think to Steevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble when listening to this beautiful set! Very well played full of soul blues rock. Very good sound as well as image catching. Thank you for sharing this nice moment.

Was mich beim Anhören von Henrik's Spiel unabhängig hiervon echt flasht, ist, daß er es sogar schafft, z. B. bei seinen Vorträgen, wie z. B. beim Guitar Summit , noch parallel zu seinen Wortbeiträgen aus der Hüfte heraus auf seiner Gitarre schlüssig und geschmackvoll zu phrasieren ... nicht zu vergessen, selbst noch dabei mit einem Ton zum Niederknien.
Den Auftritt bei euch hätte ich gerne live miterlebt...
Davon abgesehen, gefallen mir der Two Rock Amp und diese Paula ausgesprochen gut. ( In meinen Ohren tönen gerade die Paulas ohne Pickup - Kappen in ihrer Offenheit am Überzeugendsten).

Mein (natürlich) unsachliches Argument ist einfach, dass für MICH Organisten oder Keyboarder nicht zum archaischen Blues passen. 🤷🏻
Ich mags gerne pur und roh und sowas verwässert einfach den Sound.
Ich fand z.B. Rory Gallagher im Trio immer besser, als im Quartett. Und Robin Trower mit Keys will ich mir erst gar nicht vorstellen....😲

Was auch Henrik spielt klingt er nach Henrik. Authentisch und Echt. Wahnsinn. Mensch, schade dass ich nicht da war. Alle sind auf den Punkt und wenn Henrik auch noch ein wenig hinterher spielt ist es unfassbar. Mensch, was würde ich geben ein wenig von dem Kuchen zu haben.! Großartiger Laden und super Team mit wunderbaren Band Inhouse.

I saw Henrik play in Cafe De Noot in Hoogland (NL)! It is the best blues band we have in EU! (And i notice that the bassplayer swiched from old P4 Bass to a Sadowsky J5 bass)

Tolles Konzert und den Ton geil eingefangen. Die Band klingt super, insb. die Drums! Und ich bin begeistert, wie toll man die einzelnen Pickup-Stellungen raushören kann. War vor einer Woche auf nem HF-Konzert - da war das nicht so differenziert.
Ja, ich hatte sie neulich auch mit dem Programm Live erlebt.....stimmt, eine tolle Aufnahme....alle Details perfekt eingefangen.

Neben Henrik ist auch die Gitarre so grossartig, glücklicher Käufer, mein Rennpferd und den Aston muss ich behalten, eine Gitarre gilt hier in Dubai nichts. Die verstehen nicht , dass dieses Werkzeug der Kreativität einmalig ist. Die hören hier einen der Clyderman heisst , ha, ha, Diese Beduinen . Hier sollte Henrik spielen um denen zu zeigen was abgeht, besser als jeder Bugatti !
