The wait between this one and the last episode was made a bit more bearable by the fact that you were all suspecting there might be something up. A lot of people are just convinced that Mustang killed her, and while I also think the story sets itself up in a way where it could go that direction, it's difficult to watch people hate him for it, even though the pay-off of this episode is great every time. And speaking of pay-off, even though you guys suspected stuff, this was GREAT. Your reactions to Armstrong will always make me laugh, I think. It's just so much fun. Oh, and that very badass Mustang shot with the sun in the background. Love that. I know you guys seem to think that sometimes you don't really know what's going on with this show, but you're all very good at making observations and it leads to some very interesting discussion and theories. I love hearing them, and I have a feeling it's just going to escalate from this point on. Also, Shane's "Don't get eaten... Don't end!" at the end was hilarious and very relatable. That's me for a lot of FMAB episodes. Damn cliffhangers. Don't have that much to say for this week, other than that. I'm looking forward to next week, of course. With all these cliffhangers it's getting harder, I just end up rewatching a bunch of episodes from the show every week. But that's not really a bad thing. :P

Now I can final enjoy the Fullmetal Alchemist story for myself free from the tormenting memories of the fanboys that overrate this series so bad that I can't enjoy it peacefully. And I'm not talking about Mustang faking Ross's murder, I'm talking about him letting Barry loose to attract the Homunculus into sight. *That*, is good writing that's actually clever.

But after thinking it over just recently, I personally think that Mustang being the one to kill Winry's parents just doesn't fit his character's role in Brotherhood. Also, Scar killing Winry's parents added to and put more emphasis on the Ishvalan issue which is something the 2009 version focused more on than in comparison to 2003.
For your next series, you should consider doing "The most popular girls in school". It's a TH-cam series made with stopmotion barbies but the humor is something I think you guys would really enjoy. Season 5 just started. Maybe give it a chance? I don't know their policies on reaction videos but it's a great series.
I'm a new fan so i don't know the reason behind it, but why does calvin hate birds so much. it comes up a lot in videos but I've never seen a reason. did one crap on him and he's been traumatized ever since
I love how Winrys parents die in the original. It was actually Mustang who was given orders to Blow them up because they were healingmilitary AND Ishvalans. Winry finds out Mustang did it and theres some serious emotional scenes between Mustang and Winry. It was much better than Scar being the one who killed her parents
I disagree. I think this version was better because 1. I think it fits more with mustangs character and 2. It puts more focus on the Isvalan civil war, which the 2003 version lacked compared to Brotherhood. Plus it gives Scar more layers and more to do, which Imo is better than murking up Mustang's character development
Aaron Burton I like both versions. They each fit their story perfectly IMO. Mustang being ordered to kill the Rockbells in FMA was a great way to show how some of the darker things the military did and to add more layers to Roy of the first series. While Scar being the killer does a great job showing how the eye for an eye logic ultimately creates more problems than it solves. Scar and Winry scenes were as powerful if not more than the Roy and Winry ones from the first anime.
@Wiiware2568: I completely agree with you. A problem I had with the 2003 version was what Windy barely got any resolution to her parent's murder. When she finally confronted Mustang, the narrative just made the situation about him. But in Brotherhood, the focus stays on her and how she comes to grips with her parents death, which was a lot more respectful, in my opinion.
