Advice for African Diaspora on citizenship in Africa : We are all black people but we have to understand that we are coming from different cultures, so we cannot be this perfect tribe in Africa overnight,, so much learning and unlearning must be done on our part before immersing into Africa with its diverse cultures. I agree 6 years is a lot especially when we have ancestral birth right We cannot say by been of African ancestry we need no orientation with Africa, of course we do. So let's use the waiting time to assimilate and embrace the cultures of the Country we want to call our new home No African Country wants to deny the African diaspora citizenship, but the continent must be void of cultural clashes at all cost so we can live and thrive with our brothers and sisters on the continent in harmony. The West has taught us that everything must be instantaneous , somethings require time, so I am for slow immersion into Africa, rather than overnight citizenship
Thank you so much for this! I know you’re just the messenger. So I’m not upset with you or your video. Your video is very much appreciated because I genuinely had no idea on how to go about this. Now I know. The road to citizenship is difficult but it is possible. I’m sure in time they may adjust the requirements the more African Americans come forward with how very challenging this is. With that being said I do have a question. How would one go about actually living in Ghana for 6 or 7 years while not being a citizen? I know getting a work visa is one. But what if that isn’t an option, what would you do then?
you are welcome dear. will make a video with more details on that or a live video with our team so we could discuss and address all your concerns directly
Sierra Leone accepts that, if you come from any tribes there. Contact In Search of Uhuru's TH-cam Channel. It has to be African Ancestry DNA with Dr. Gina Paige. Good luck. With a S. Leone passport, you go anywhere free in West Africa.
If all the options required are 6yrs or more to qualify , what status are we eligible for in order to stay for 6yrs ? What credentials are required in order to live in Ghana for 6yrs ?
@@AfricaToday1 It is too long! They make it seem like they are inviting us back to make up for selling us into slavery, but not making it any easier. Where are the reparation? The US refuses to compensate us for buying us and Africa refuses to compensate us for selling us. They could at least offer us land and a short road to citizenship. They want us to come to help the economy, but offer us nothing… Most of us can not afford to come back contrary to popular belief, we are not all rich. Some areas in the US African Americans are just as poor as other countries. It makes no sense for us to come back there, when the road to perm residency and citizenship is a lot easier in other countries. They should make it harder for the colonizers to come in and easier for their own people to come back, but that sounds too much like right I guess.
Thanks so much for sharing this vital information, and I have a quick question? How is the job market? Costs of living? I'm a mother of one and how's the schools and colleges?
@@Pharaohinthecut shame...we were inviited to return to ghana...and no provisions were put in place for us..... was should have been made citizens as a result...
Yes, but to reach those stages, you need to invest $500,000 to be able to stay in the country. How can they expect people to stay for five years without a legal pathway to permanent residency unless they have $500,000 to invest? It's actually easier to go South Africa and SA is very hard, than to return to Ghana under these conditions. I had my heart set on building a business in Ghana, but this policy has made me reconsider. disheartening. It really makes me feel like the Ghanian gov has used Slavery for their own gain.
There's no need to give up your USA citizenship just go there buy a house and find a mate or two lol , most Africans would love to go to America so trade resources build a bond and work together especially educational wise. The smart way is to help the kids who want American education find a way to get it and return. Goals use them like they used us.
Keep in mind that U.S. does NOT RECOGNIZE dual citizenship. That is why everywhere American citizens go, their government is still following them, investigating their foreign bank account to see their foreign income, charge them foreign income tax, etc
2:80 they need to adjust the citizenship based on marriage! If you are already qualified for residency under the Right of Abode the the marriage citizenship is fine. If you are not qualified under the Right of Abode, and you apply for citizenship, that citizenship Right should be valid ONLY as long as you are still married to the Ghanaian. Of the marriage is over, you citizenship should become void as well! Prevent colonizers and their agents from getting citizenship easily through marriage
Wear your real hair yeah. What is this wig messo . Your natural hair is beautiful no? Who you wanna appeal to? Your own people or white people ? As africans take pride in your hair boys and girls . This is ridiculous! Trust and believe once we make America pay us our reparations we are coming for Africa next!!! Specifically Ghana bcuz thats where slaves were sold from!!! Ghana is wrong as hell for putting other Africans around the diaspora through this crap just to come back to the land our ancestors were either sold or stolen from!!! Smgdh
You are wrong. There was no Ghana then. There were kingdoms big & small. Coercion by force was part of the operation. Some who helped Europeans were sold in retaliation. You may just be a descendant of that fool. Africans who stayed were victims just like those taken away. Colonialism came in the 1890s for 75 yrs. Did Africa invite them??
It is crazy how they don't make it easy for black Americans to come Ghana. A lot of Africans speak speak of black Americans not wanting to come to Africa but none of these countries are making it easy for black Americans to come to Africa! It is sad how it's not as welcoming as I thought it would be... We're not welcome here in the United States and we're not welcome in Africa either? Even though we are descendants of Africa and was sold into slavery we need to prove that we were sold into slavery? AKA prove that we are of African decent? THIS COLONIZING MENTALITY CANNOT BE MADE UP... YOU'RE WELCOME TO COME HERE BUT YOU'RE NOT REALLY WELCOME TO COME 😏🥴.. EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE DESCENDANTS OF AFRICA YOU HAVE TO JUMP THROUGH SEVERAL DIFFERENT HOOPS TO PROVE THAT YOU BELONG 😏🥴 AND THIS IS WHY EUROPEANS CONTINUE ON TREATING BLACK PEOPLE/AFRICAN DESCENT THE WAY THAT THEY DO! CUZ WE CONTINUE ON GIVING OUR OWN PEOPLE A HARD TIME!! GHANA DEFINITELY WOULD NOT BE A PLACE OUT WITH. LISTENING TO THIS JUST TURNED MY INTEREST COMPLETELY

I understand your point and your emotions are valid. To be honest with you, I do not think there is going to be any reparations for African Americans in the USA but rather reconciliation and making policies to better the lives of African Americans. Where will the reparations come from? What about the native Indian Americans, Irish etc. Slavery is an evil thing but we live in a world where good and evil prevail and most at times humans do evil things to their fellow humans. I pray you heal. I live this verse for you 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin[b] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. Shalom Shalom

May I ask what is the difference of African American's road to citizenship compaired to everyone else? Sounds like there is little to no difference.
Basically the same just that people find "the wait" too long😊

by comparison, in the US , for citizenship you only need to live there for five yrs
That’s actually 🧢 it’s really hard to get citizenship I know Mexicans that’s been here 18 years still just residents
