I get the feeling your videos are saving me many years of frustration I would've had just diving in to advanced surface modelers. Now going into CATIA/NX/Creo/etc. feels like a natural next step! :)
This is a great command. The case where the section has sharp corners is resolved in 12.0.1. The tool also works on solids and it works across faces (your example showed a single face sheet body).
Agree, it is super powerful. The Pad portion needs that tweak you mention and quick. I do highly recommended the tool especially for B-Sides on plastic parts that have varying thickness. Can't wait to see it in 12.0.1
Yeah steve, it'll be good for new users or who are going to start with nx for designing ..so just a quick overview about nx cad modeling ...assemblies , drafting &surfacing how it'll be useful ... I assume what i said is too much if it's correct can you make a overview about NX Cad ...!
Bcoz ...lot of people asked me how gud is nx ..but I couldn't express them within a limited period of time...so if someone want to chose nx which is currently outstanding in market...tips from your side would be helpful. Thanks in advance
I don't have 12 yet, but it looks like the system is maintaining normalcy along the boundary. I have to wonder if it might be driving the vector at the centroid of your shape. Either way, I welcome the additional functionality!
FYI, the region boundary direction is f r projecting imprint curves in the base sheet. It has nothing to do with the offset direction. The offset is always normal to the base sheet.
Caught that. I am still trying to figure out how the Pad option is better than General Pad/Pocket? The only difference is creating a cubic transition on the ramp area. But the General Pad/Pocket can do drafts, blends, different seat faces, directions etc... No tool set is more powerful than them for this type of feature.
Can u plz tell, How to make parametric sketch from projected splines... Inshort, I want to convert projected spline into lines and curves... So it will be easy to edit

LOL! You are most welcome.

Steve, NX 12.0.1 fixes all of the issues you note. Performance is significantly better. Profiles with sharp corners are supported.
Hey Tod, Rick in Texas mentioned that in a prior message. He's on the inside! Thanks. How are things?
Excellent Steve 😊...
Is it possible for you to show a demo on nx cad overview kind of thing..?
Not a bad idea.

keep it up bro, please check fit surface command. Nx 11 cannot brush multi places on facet body for single cylinder.
I hope nx12 fixed it.
Thanks sir...,,,

It is a great tool, I think it is just a few bugs to work out which is normal when it comes to something so powerful.

how to make post processor machine 3 axis ?
The vector is for the curve projection.
Got that... But I still prefer General Pad/Pocket.
