Wow, i didn't think the Draft feature could use a crossing plane as input. I'm hurry to experiment that, but for now i'm stuck with my workstation (HP z800), its power supply is dead and a new one is $$$ Y_Y ... Now i'm using my older workstation (HP xw6200) but the linux version of NX is very uncomfortable (toolbar, trees, main 3D, and so on are splited and flying individually, the widget used for the interface on unix based computers is outdated, they should really use something modern like Qt instead). Keep up the good job steve :)
Pretty much all CAD systems geared towards a Windows install are awful on UNIX based packages. Sorry to hear you have to deal with that. Maybe I should do a draft video? It really does a lot more these days. Again thanks Okto. All the best.
Create points first (e.g. using coordinates) and then run your studio spline through these points. Up then you can edit these points. Of course that takes far more time so in video tutorials they rather do it 'free hand' :-)
