The trailer is shorter because it's designeted for 20' long container. Box included in this set looks like 20feeter. On pictures you showed, we can see 40feeters.

I ordered mine back on January 9th, was on backorder and just got it last week, and finished building it. I love it! I think it is definitely a Big Rig truck, and the details are nice, however often overlooked the building experience was really fun! Especially with the hood and crane arms.

I suppose Technic doesn't model diesel engines often. Also by the nature of how big a truck this is, it's modeled at a smaller scale than they usually do engines, hence having to use significantly different pieces than they usually use for pistons and engine blocks.

I like the new view of the build time lapse! It's much easier to see than the top view. I also like the change of music between the box/building and the actual review. It breaks up the same-old, and makes it feel like you're moving on.
But good review! I JUST might... should I say it? ...consider getting this. We'll see. :)

in Australia those trailers are called "skels", because they really are skeletel in real life. That bit is actually inaccurate in that the Technic model has more structure :) Although ideally the C-beams that make up the chassis would be two beams high rather than one - actual scale might even allow a brick-beam with plates top and bottom to make the C shape.

you could try to motorize the trailer by adding the battery and stuff to these holes you mentioned and it will automatically make the trailer heavier so you could lift the container with a banana or two in it

I think the front end looks weird because of the choice of making the hood black but the little panels at the sides of it gray. That would look better if it was all one color. I was thinking about making the truck in the white with red and blue stripes color scheme of the model team big rig and display them together but they don't make the curved panels in white yet.

they're often more expensive and I meant more: "I wish lego would release studfull technic sets again".
I guess that the nostalgia for something I never had is excessive. I whould change my wish to: "I wish that lego woule start making studfull sets, but combine them with studless to make great functions but have stud building for looks"
basically, I'm really impressed by your builds and wish Lego could do the same (which, I know, would make sets way too expensive)

I just wonder why the trailer isn't power functions upgradeable: there are so many reasons to do it!
1. More weight, better stability
2. More uses for the power functions upgrade box -> more sales
3. Less holes in the body
4. Most importantly, the function is a lot more pleasant to use.
It would require to have the Lego Technic gearbox, so you use one gear (or motor) for drive and use the Lego gearbox to select which liniar actuator to move.

I have this set too (but i customized it from: sleeper to day cab few day or week after i finished it and i still changing it and i even make a snowplow that i made a stopmotion project at my school) so you can alway customize your set with the pieces you have!

Podpory na przyczepy są fajne, tylko trzeba je zablokować. Przekrecamy wajche az słyszymy "klik". Ewentualnie palcem można docisnąć klocek i będzie to samo.
Co do opony dotyczącej realistyki - czemu dałeś tylko 2 na 5? Przeciez ciężarówka jest bardzo realistyczna. Przyczepa fakt, teoche golas, ale pomyśl czy w tym wypadku nie oddzielić opinii za wyglad ;)

Next time when a model has a hand crankable knob that takes years to crank.. Just use a M motor + BB to speed crank it. Much faster and better for reviews
