Unyime Akn mine has not had screws in it’s not in a easy position to put screws the best thing is to use double sided tape this will hold it perfectly in place

I've ordered a smarty sim to try but I'm not sure if the sim card slot does not work . Please help . Thanks
Hi Luke, My version didn’t have 4g at the time maybe try a different sim card with another sim provider, if that works then it’ll definitely be the network you’re currently with let me know how it goes 👍🏾

You can take the base plate off the idrive controller and make or have one made so it fits in your console perfectly, carbon fibre would look cool, then 3m tape it down 👍
Should I be disconnecting my battery before I start? I started and noticed my speakers were popping and ever since its been weird...kind of scared to start again and cut the dash afraid of damaging something

Thank you I believe there’s a screw you have to do for the drivers side then you can pry out the area where the headlight switch is then you can pry out the air vent why do you want to remove your air vent?

Could you please let me know whether there is any place for the factory unit to screw onto a non Nav dashboard? Like, is it the same under the dash for both Nav and non-Nav models? Hi Carl got a android screen and fitted it into my 1 series and it powers up everything ok apart from can’t get the audio to work, the aux is not an option now on the head unit doesn’t look like the car has a auxiliary feed now, is there something else the screen needs or am I missing something, your help would be much appreciated thanks
James Turnock Hi James, the aux you can connect the aux cable and it can still play music from your phone, you should be able to hear it, try reconnecting the harness tightly, it must be clasped together firmly and then locked in also once you’ve done this, each time you come into your car, wait 10 seconds before putting the keys in the ignition, then it should start up fine. Let me know how it goes.

@@CARLISONIT Hey Carl! I have purchased this dongle and downloaded the driveplay app which comes up on the QR code but cant get it to work. I am not sure if the driveplay is the correct app do you have a link for the apk software or are you doing a set up video like the others you do for android auto/apple car play. Thanks again bro

There’s a cable to connect to AUX it’s difficult to diagnose without seeing your car
@@CARLISONIT as in to connect my phone to the aux? Or as in an aux from the original radio to the screen?
@@harryminhinett4846 basically there’s an attachment that you connect an aux cable not from under the armrest it’s behind the radio itself you basically connect that to the headunit

Hi Carl got a android screen and fitted it into my 1 series and it powers up everything ok apart from can’t get the audio to work, the aux is not an option now on the head unit doesn’t look like the car has a auxiliary feed now, is there something else the screen needs or am I missing something, your help would be much appreciated thanks
James Turnock Hi James, the aux you can connect the aux cable and it can still play music from your phone, you should be able to hear it, try reconnecting the harness tightly, it must be clasped together firmly and then locked in also once you’ve done this, each time you come into your car, wait 10 seconds before putting the keys in the ignition, then it should start up fine.
