Unknown fact: Gaba Cannal has groomed Kwiish, Mdu T.R.P, Musiqal Chef, etc. This was done through GCM records. Gaba Cannal is not new, he created the Piano Genre along with MFR Souls and Kabza.
Nah my brother the sound has always been there way back since 2009. Initially it was just deep house songs slowed down and along the way producers started biting that sound and the first guy to do so was Mduu and Gaba & mfr & kabza then came along
facts! i used to say this a lot. Gaba started with Broken Beats alongside Junior Taurus, MFR Souls, Calvin Fallo, etc around 2014/15 when gqom was still popping. these gents were laying down the foundation for piano

Y'all shot down Mrumba Pitch but they were fire. They could go big on the continent. They have a certain special appeal that hits different. Almost similar to a number of Limpopo artists who are under appreciated in SA but are do extremely well in Botswana, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Namibia, Mozambique and other parts of Africa.

In terms of the top 5 dj I feel like their personal opinions clouded the real judgement of who really killed it this year as a dj , killing it as a dj doesn't only mean being the best at mixing , but the impact you as a dj had the way u pushed songs and how you pushed the sound and culture of amapiano as a dj , if you had to ask normal people on the streets who did that DBN gogo,uncle waffles, kabza de small, Mellow & sleazy, Major league dj's, Njelic, Mr JazziQ, Nkulee &Skoef ,Felo Le Tee, Mdu those are some of the names that would definitely be on the list ,Next year there needs to a fixed criteria not judgment based on one criteria and personal opion just because you like that Dj. Another thing just because you don't like the idea of "sex sells" doesn't mean those people were not pulling a crowd ,making an impact, introducing knew songs to a new crowd . Please next year we need panelists who won't let their personal opions cloud their judgement. Because now these guys are judging the dj's career instead of the year they had , Ay Mac Next year please get better panelists because it seamed like they were judging each list based on one criteria even bringing up names hat I'm sure most people don't even know .
True. They should look at the mtv MC hip hop list for inspiration on how to set the criteria, but in a way that relates to the yanos
