Thanks for the comparison and the effort that you put in to it. I own the Lintons my self and it’s great to hear how different these are compared to the Super Dentons. It’s hard to say witch’s is better. Both have a total different sound signature in my opinion. The super Dentons sounded more forward and a bit cleaner than the Lintons. Lintons go deeper in bass and sounded less forward. Love my Lintons though!
@@ronaldfriedline9297hi! Im really curious about how the Linton sound against the Super Linton, have you listened both? From several opinions , the SL sound markedly different....
Another great comparison, thanks. Linton is more rolled off, more polite, more closed-in. Denton is more modern, more open, better detail, better timbre. Denton would be the superior speaker for most people, unless you have a bright/thin amp and/or like old/light recordings. The Super Linton is coming...
I think they made some decent adjustments and incorporated all that into the substantially younger Super Denton. BTW One thing Guys! Your stereo channels are still inverted! Left ch from source is right ch with speakers! It would be such an easy fix by just flipping the cables...
@@Julian-kq9nk Where there is left ch' and right ch' on the source file, we have it inverted with speakers connected (left becomes right and right becomes left). Speaker cables are flipped - that's all. Or the two microphones are connected L & R invertedly - same effect. I made a comment with time stamps in that Leak 250 vs Mission 770 comparison. L and R should be consistent with source file, speaker #1 and speaker #2. Please listen carefully to those parts of the demo tracks where there is distinct stereophony, like e/g trumpets on one side and percussion on the other, you shall hear it. That's where that little bit of confusion you experience comes from each time when moving from source to playback. Creator seems not to care, at least so far.
@@cremersalex250hz, i have Linton and paired it with PM8006. They excellent for jazz and classic but not for rock and pop. Super Denton sound fuller on mid range, i ve tried them pair with PM8006.
@@BigNorthumbrianyeah maybe PM8006 and Linton are not a perfect mix. I heard Linton's best pair is Leak 230. My PM8006 now paired with Monitor Audio Bronze 6, and i think they are a good mix.
@@BigNorthumbrian I think most Linton owners listen to Pop or Rock, but honestly, everything sounds good on them. And the main reason for that is because of their near flat response.
Great test. Thank you. Unfortunately not one track with a classical orchestra, piano, voice or at least a jazz trio. But nobody does on yt. It seems, like I'm the only one left who listens to classical and jazz. Oh well, my bad.
There is something really stupid from Audiolab on this DC block 6 filter, the outputs on the back are IEC female so you have to use low cost computer like cable from the conditioner to the hifi device. A real nonsense, I don't understand this engineering failure. They should use the standard IEC female wall socket instead.

😂 no you don’t, just get the Dovedale’s and call it a day
The strings in one of the last tracks Dentons sounded more forward and clear than the original source itself. Linton more faithful to source.
And now you you know the whole hi fi world is waiting for you comparison between the Linton and the Super Linton :)
Yeah - Trying! But dosen't seem like the Super Linton is available to buy anywhere in Europe yet
@ sure! As far as i know a few shops started taking pre orders now but stock will only arrive mid november or so :)
85s sound best to me
@@Audiophilesdoteu it is now :)

Do you mean here in the recording or is the music inverted incorrectly in general? mfg

Linton lack of midbass, Super Denton lack of lowbass.
Around what frequency area is mid bass? 100 Hz?

That’s odd, I listen to rock and pop with my Lintons being driven by an Elex-r, they sound stunning, perhaps your issue is the 8006

Dentons are better balanced, less fatiguing.
