Depende sa sitwasyon po. Ako lahat ang humahawak ng pera namin. Pera ng hubby ko is nasa kin. Allowance or budget lang binibigay ko sa kaniya. Kasi mas magastos siya sakin :). I tried na siya ang humawak, sa kaniya ako humihingi ng budget lahat pero nastress siya sa pagbubudget. Hehehe. Kaya binalik niya sakin. Kaya depende po :)

Mas maganda talaga may sariling pera. Pero sa case nga ng lalaki dapat marunong sya mahawak ng pera. Kasi sya ang padre de pamilya. Sa finances dapat sya ang magtataguyod. Pero ok rin ang tulungan. Kapag ang lalaki walang kadiska diskarte nakaka turn off. Kaya maganda itong set up nina Chito. Nakaka empower rin na pareho may kita maliit man o malaki. Sabi nga nila, a strong woman is a woman who earns her own money regardless of how small it is.

Dapat talaga may sariling pera at savings ang isat-isa. Ito ay suggestion lamang per experience.(Buti na lang!) Nung medyo nagkalabuan na kami ng EX kong Kano! Nag open ako ng US Dollar account sa Pilipinas sa pangalan ng Papa ko. Na ako lamang ang nakakaalam ng bank info at online access. At hindi ko in open sa computer sa bahay. Pasensya na at Congrats! Mr. & Mrs. Miranda sa inyong matatag na relationship. Ang ganang akin ay sa mga Kababaihan at mga Misis na parang nadi dehado na sa kanilang relasyon. Na maging wais at practical. Siguraduhin ang kanilang finances at sa kanilang mga anak. Magtrabaho, ofw, o business upang kumita ng sariling pera. Dahil kung nagkataon........ Dahil nasa huli ang pagsisisi.

Expenses should be managed by whoever is better in financial management between couples. Regardless if it's the wife or the husband. Nakasanayan kasi na ang wife ang maghahandle ng pera but truth is, may mga wives din na hindi marunong magbudget. If both couples have income, I agree with Neri's style that they should have a separate money or savings account BUT dapat meron pa rin conjugal money since you are married. Ano pa purpose ng pag-aasawa kung magkakanya-kanya din naman pala pagdating sa gastos? That conjugal money dapat both have access to that in the sense that neither can touch the money if walang permission or consent nong isa. Parang joint account kumbaga. On the other hand, mas maigi din kasi na as a couple, may separate money pa din kayo because worst-case scenario if maghihiwalay kayo, may sarili kang pera hindi ka naka depende sa asawa mo. Personally, I have my own money and whatever I earn, I set aside savings for myself and at the same time, half of it goes to the conjugal money. Pero syempre when it comes to my husband's income, I handle his money only because he doesn't know how to handle his money and I do the budgeting and financial management in the household. But I am very transparent to him, I keep record kung saan napupunta yong pera niya up to the last peso. I am the accountant, bookkeeper and auditor of the house. Haha. Ang lalaki din kasi kapag masyado maraming pera and its very accessible, it's a temptation for them to spend it on inuman, bulakbol or worse spend on "other girls". Let's be honest that usually happens. My husband can get his extra money anytime he wants but I need to know saan niya gagamitin yong pera. Kung justified naman yong reason, why not? Transparency is very important especially when it comes to spending. My husband knows where my personal money goes he just doesn't have access to withdraw it. For me, "happy wife, happy life" is still the best policy. Haha.
May trabaho ako, may pera ako, self employed husband ko my pera sya. So may pera kami kanya2x. Like you Neri, he gave the basic needs. Magastos din kasi ako kaya okey lang sa akin. 😉

Sa amin ng husband ko, sya yong humahawak ng pera kasi waldasera ako haha. At first i find it as issue pro tama din nman sya. I am not good in budgeting so he's the one doing it. Hindi na uso yong traditional na babae lang ang nagbubudget.
