BBM solid ako dati dahil naniniwala akong ibabalik niya ang dating pilipinas (mura ang bilihin, disiplinado ang mga tao, mataas ang employment rate), hanggang itinanong ko sa sarili ko--- "Bakit nag-uulam ng asin sila lolo noong panahon niya? Akala ko ba golden age?" "Kung disiplinado ang mga tao noon, bakit may na torture?" "Kung hindi sila nagnakaw, bakit may nakuha na ang ating gobyerno?" Mga simpleng tanong, ngunit nagmulat sa akin sa realidad. Agad akong nagresearch, nanood ng mga documentaries at nag-aral ng ekonomiks. Ngayon naiintindihan ko ang lahat. I was researching kung sino ba talaga ang iboboto ko ngayon election, kasi as a 19 yr old wala ako masyado pakialam sa politics. Akala ko yung mga projects na ginawa ng candidate ang maguurge sakin, pero mas naamaze ako kapag nakikita mo kung "sino siya sa sariling nyang bahay". Kasi yung sagot na yan mageextend outwardly sa pamumuno nya sa buong bansa.

During the pandemic, we had conversations with friends and sometimes family and I always get asked -- "Pag tumakbo si Leni, boboto ka ba?" And I always said NO, and I always said, nakakaawa naman kasi napakabait nya and kung siya ang papalit eh parang the whole term mag lilinis siya and she is too good para sa politika ng Pinas, like I thought we don't deserve a person as good as her.
But, in her interview with Toni, she mentioned how she prayed for everything naman, and nakita ko, ahhh hindi naman pala siya pushover, so tbh nabago na yung opinyon ko, I feel it in my heart talaga na we need her as President na sa 2022.
We have the same sentiments. Naisip ko rin parang kawawa naman si VP Leni kung siya ang sasalo sa lahat ng prublema iiwan ng Duterte administration….but, then, I realized kung hindi si Leni ang papalit….paano na ang Pilipinas? Only she can bring back the Philippines into good shape again.
