    Are you going to give Inkarnate a try?

      Definitely! Thanks!

      @Pamela May Unfortunately, there isn't a way currently to group multiple assets together. You can just upload them as single assets and then use them in the tool. They have said this is something they may add later.

    Thank you for giving this tutorial. I started being a Dungeon Master and was a bit confused on how the Inkarnate worked.

    Great video. Concise, easy to follow, well composed, and loaded with relevant information for anyone new to Inkarnate. Well done!

    This is a really cool tool. I’ve never heard of this. Definitely going to be looking this up. Thanks for the tutorial.

    Awesome! I've been messing with the free version on different maps, but this battle map stuff adds a lot. Thanks for the walk through!

    Very helpful video. I'm surprised you have so few subscribers for the quality of content. Only suggestion would be a better mic/sound engineering setup (which can obviously come much later if needed) but other than that man good job. subbed.

      Thanks you! I am still pretty new to TH-cam so just slowly growing. I am trying to improve my audio setup but learning as I go along!

    I was on the fence between using Inkarnate and DungeonDraft, and the lack of a drag wall tool I think just took Inkarnate out of the competition for me.

    Does anybody have any advice for how to actually deploy Inkarnate for use at the table?

    Any tips on using the Grid Tool to inform how your map will fit your VTT once exported?

    • @bassboy2100
      @bassboy2100 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I make sure my Inkarnate 'map size' is the same as my roll20 map size, enable grid on Inkarnate then drag it onto roll20 and line it up

    Yes, but I'm concerned about the price & the fact that certain features will not be available to me die to lack of funds. But I will try it.

    Do you think printing out an inkarnate battle map and then laminating it will be too much of a hassle? Probably would be....

    • @ShriKenerd
      @ShriKenerd  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They export at quite a good resolution so it would work well. It's just if you want to go through the effort of printing and laminating it!

    Good video. Thanks! I need a tool for battle maps. Walls being a stamp is a deal breaker. So fiddly. Everything else is so pretty. Such a shame!

      Glad it was helpful! I've used Dungeon Fog as well which is pretty good and has a proper wall tool.

    How does this stack up against Dungeon Fog?

    • @alex2legit

      My question exactly- so far I haven't found a way to scale pixel sizes of the Grid in Inkarnate so that they'll fit in Roll20 without... math lol. Whereas DF has that worked in so you know it'll line up perfectly in Roll20 if you export/import and right-click to set dimensions.

      @Lucid Oh yeah, and now that you mention it - 5 month report; I use this way more than I used too. The battlemap tool is great. I use Inkarnate when I need something quick and pretty, and DF when I need something complex
