Rather than using a lighter and risk burning the pipe have you ever tried putting the end of the pipe in boiling water straight from the kettle works a treat the pipe will slide right on.

So I have already purchased my 100% concrete Buddha because this idea is absolutely amazing(soaking now outside and will test it). I have a 75 gallon, 6 year old goldie tank but I already have 18 inch lucky bamboo that I've had for about 5 years now so will be using the lucky bamboo in mine. Thank you for all of the inspiration that you continue to give me every time you post a video! I only have 7 tanks though so I have to just keep rescaping mine lol😊
Man, what an beautiful Buddha tank. I following you now for quite a while. When I was an teenager I had an aquarium at my parents home. You make me feel what I felt at that time. Relaxed, calm and also exciting to build a tank again. You're enthusiasm works inspiring.

oh yes. I have a goal for a fully planted 8ft piranha tank at some point
@@MDFishTanks cool, I want some but realistically I can’t since I have other fish that I plan to get an 8ft for. A rock shaped tank for my black ghost knife and rusty pleco- I want to make it a 600L when I refurbish my garden and make a chilling room. It’s going to be a nightmare with the ghost knife in though like a whole day of sanding rocks and wood, it’s the worst combo though because the pleco will uproot the plants if I have them inside the tank.
Also since you are doing the nano tanks with shrimp I would recommend doing a kind of slate pile gate with lots of plants, they also love Marimo moss balls because they can eat all the dead leaves and things caught on it like a dinner plate while it filters.

Thank you so much for these videos. I have severe depression and my pregnancy only increased it. Your videos has been keeping me motivated and inspired me to do my first tank. I've been running it for over a month and its running so well. I now have some cherry shrimp and tetras in my tank and they're doing great.
