# 16 Hyundai Ioniq Speaker Upgrade Works-Part 1

In this video, we showcase the necessary steps taken to replace the door speakers on a Hyundai Ioniq. The car is a 2018 HEV+ model and the speakers produce ‘breaking’ sound while there is completely no sound from the rear speakers. Generally, most Hyundai Ionic owners in Malaysia will face this problem. After a detail analysis using a microscopy imaging microscope, it was found that the speaker wire had corroded due to the interaction with the resin glue. Although the wire could be soldered back, the sound quality will be affected. Hence, we decided to replace all the speakers located at the four doors. Please note that the car in the video had been upgraded with the original Head Unit player which comes with an amplifier and subwoofer.
