It's been 5 years since this video...their radiators still do not fit right! I just took delivery of one and the radiator ear mounting is the exact same issue. I sent them an email just now..will keep you posted. I don't particularly feel like I should have to modify my car to fit their radiator...or modify a brand new radiator that is *supposed* to fit.
What fan were you using with the Honda rad? I have the 3 core aluminium Honda rad in mine and haven't had it even close to overheating yet. Could it be an altitude thing?
+Turtle Garage the 12 inch TorqFlo (Autozone) brand. I am almost certain my problem was airflow. Even with the Ducting, it still needed a push fan, but had no room for one. Are you on the mechanical fan and a 3 core radiator?
I got the same radiator for my 123GT. I have fitted air conditioning to mine as it gets stinking hot in PA during the summer and I wanted the car to be usable. It did not fit worth a damn and worked worse than the oem one. So it’s in a box in my shed waiting to be used as a planter. I’m back to the oem rad and fan with a pusher electric fan on the condenser. It is marginal on a hot day at idle and I need to find a solution. I’m adding another electric fan and overhauling the cooling system. The rad is the original one so it might need the lime away treatment. Failing that a new oem rad as it is 3 core as well and isn’t too bad.
I swear, these videos are so entertaining to me. Please make them at any given opportunity haha.
thanks, Tyler! I always like feedback
See, if only I could buy an all aluminum radiator for my Saab...
See you in Estes!
+Zach Mowers looking forward to it!
