G'day alfaspiderman, we have followed you lead and replaced the speakers with pioneer marine 4 ohm as you have, and replaced the module also - we can get a whoop on the first VCDS actuator test but the test-tone test fails and brings on the same fault that we were originally trying to fix (the old speakers where cactus), fault being actuator 1 open circuit. do you happen to have any ideas please??? cheers
Hi Have you checked the open circuit speaker with multimeter? Run speaker wire to amplifier and see if music comes from exhaust, sounds like speaker is open circuit, l always keep checking ohm reading all the time while weld and before fitting exhaust back to the car
I’m the same!!! I even got 3ohm resistors and used them and ran new wiring up and got a new control unit and same fault still.. I can hear 4 little pops when I turn ignition on I think it’s control unit doing a self test and it doesn’t like the electrical test results it’s getting from the pioneer 4 ohm :/
@@alfaspiderman3591I have same issue, 3.4 and 3.6ohm reading and after 1 week the pioneer stopped working and same fault back open circuit, i wired a radio into them from Control unit loom and there perfect, and replaced control unit, the unit isn’t happy with its test of the system it does when ignition is turned on.. have u changed what speakers u use or still using these ?
Hi i have see you video on TH-cam about Sq5 exhaust speaker repair I see you use the TS MR 1640 But the standard is TS MR 1600 What is the diffident ? Is it more high sound whit the 1640? Or du you need to do something els if you install the 1640 to get it work whit the electricity in the car software ? Thanks Have a nice day
Can 1640 also work whitout kaufatac ? Can the wire on the car made to 1600 take 1640 whitout do something I the computer on the car? So the best will be to by the 1640 or not 1600?

I have the same problem sq5, I have ordered pionner 2040, after I have ordered it, I have it without it being 20 cm, do you use it?

the TS MR1640 is a 4 ohm speaker ... the original speaker is a 2ohm speaker :( It´s not loud enough with this one.

Hi no sound difference the 1640 handle more Watts so if you use a sound booster (kaufatec) the 1640 are the best
