My younger brother is planning to make is career in the ministry. He's now giving his last semester exam for his graduation. Pls pray for him so that he can be in the right path and become a faithful servant of God.
I agree; pray for God to send you older brothers and sisters of the faith. (I say "older" as in spiritually, not necessarily physically.) I'm 5 years old spiritually, and I still go through certain spiritual downfalls. "The fear of man is a snare" and I know this from my own experience. I know I am I'll-equipped for certain things. I've been praying over these past years to have Godly people enter my life. God has faithfully done just that. Am I still a youthful thinker in some ways? Yes, unfortunately. I don't like that. However, it is not in my strength that I can mature, but in Christ's, through prayer, the Word, the Holy Spirit, and the Body of believers who graciously and patiently guide me and steer me back to Christ over and over again in all things.
We need to realize the power of prayer and the divinity of truth within the bible. Too many of us are in a relaxed state of unknowingness and frustration. God is waiting!
Wise counsel, I would say this however as a distinction.. What he is describing is the professional ministry. True spirit wrought ministry is not an event, it is an expression of who we are in Christ. Preaching is a component of the church's ministry it isn't the thrust. Most ministry takes place in the trenches of every day life on life soul care. We don't need a degree or man made ordination for ministry. We need only be fit and enabled by Christ.
I've been saved a year now and I'm getting restless . Just going home to read the bible .... It's just making me anxious. I'm ready for my life to start

I'll Be Honest I have an online church and bible study i attend 2 times a week , but I haven't found a local body that I feel comfortable in . I was going to my parents church , but I don't think that church is going anywhere . Just seems like religion to me .
And indeed many churches will "just seem like religion", but we have to trust that the Head of the church, the Lord Jesus Christ, indeed has raised up biblical churches - though they seem to be few, they do exist. So that is something to ask the Lord to direct you towards. Some fall into an imbalance of viewing all churches as false and they become "long rangers", but that isn't a healthy position either. I realize that for some who are younger they need to wait until they are older in order to have the liberty to choose where to go, or to move for a church. May the Lord keep guiding you onward.
I'll Be Honest I started off lone wolfing lol , but God told me that is not his way . So he called me into my parents church , but I feel as tho I was not growing , just bench warming . Now i think he's calling me out ... But to do what or to go ... I do not know . I have a hard time hearing his voice . Thank you for the sound advice ! Ondrea.......go where God leads you. God lead me out of the church. I am in a city with 6 churches (all of the same religion) and being in them has done more to harm my relationship with God than help. It seems like you have a great online fellowship......nothing wrong with that. You need to know God personally for yourself, and the best way is one-on-one. My relationship with God has grown since getting out of the church (maybe it was just a false denomination that God was calling me out of).
