Really beautiful. You have taken the “scarey” out of this triple layer shadow box card to where I could give it a go. You can almost feel the cold looking at them. Reminds me of the book by C S Lewis, The Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe. Lovely creation here.
Hi You're cards here are what I call "simple elegance" and beautiful! I very much love the idea of using the foam instead of the foam tape. I have just only found you and you have a new subscriber. The video doesn't show if you make the panels into an actual card. Going to check out your other videos and then your website. Thank you for sharing. Just proves you can teach an old dog new tricks - LOL!
Thank you and welcome to the Attic! I've gone back to those cards to answer your question and yes I did glue the panels to top folding cards. I'm glad you like the craft foam idea for dimension. Sometimes I use the foam tape but if you have a lot of frames to back, it's very expensive and the craft foam is great to cut to the exact size you need. If you've found the videos featuring the mouth swabs as foam applicators (!) you'll know I love a bargain! xx
I love these cards and video so very much! Each time I watch it, it inspires me to create these lovely cards! Beautiful touches and technics! Thanks for creating and sharing!
You are amazing! I am looking forward to learning from you. I want to make a card with an image of my grand daughter. It won't be her but like her. I hope in your videos I will put all the pieces together to make it happen!.
Wow...How beautiful! I just stumbled across your channel. I'm not a very adept card creator, though I try sometimes. However, I will be making a fairy fantasy themed journal for my granddaughter, & you've sparked some really cool ideas to make it extra special.💜 Ty for sharing your lovely talent.❤ P.S. oops! I went to subscribe & found... I already am!! Lol! Thx again!💜💛💙
These cards are gorgeous. Please tell me how you cut the foam strips for the edges? Can you do it on a trimmer or does it have to be done with scissors?
Hi! I used (very old!) scissors by Tim Holtz and Tonic which will cut through foam and adhesive without getting too gummed up. Sorry I don't have a link but I think google will help? :) xx
Hi. Your cards are stunning! I’ve given it a try, however I stamped a park setting on vellum for my background instead of tracing paper. My question is how do I attach my next layer without my vellum drying with ripples?
Hi, thank you! Any type of glue spread on the vellum will ripple so try using tiny dots of glue in places you can cover over with an element such as a sticky backed little jewel or glitter drops. Hope that helps! xx
I didn't quite understand what kind of paper you put the tracing paper over to get the soft effect you wanted. Could you please share with me what it was. Thank you in advance.
Hi Susan :) I used Mirri card i.e. mirror card. It's difficult to film because it reflects so much. Here is a link via Amazon amzn.to/2mOQsJD so you can take a look. I also use this card a lot for die cutting work greetings. I hope that helps :) xx
Howdy - I so enjoy your countryside videos too ! These cards are simply divine - thank you for sharing. Stay safe & craft on
