i know this is an old video but I'm new at cards and have to say that this is beautiful. I can't wait to try it on my own. Thanks for sharing and keeping it on
Your card is absolutely beautiful. The composition is perfect as are the soft colors. I loved seeing how you mixed glitter with the texture paste for the snow. Very clever all around. Thank you for the clear explanation of your process.
Amazing!!! Watching you put your cards together is a real treat!!! You come up with ideas and techniques that are very inspiring to watch!!! Thank you Helen for sharing your talent as well as your time!!!
Stunning I am going to have a go at your tutorial but with princess for my granddaughter, it it great when someone inspires you to make something similar. Thank you very much for a fantastic tutorial, you are very artistic and talented !!
I just now watched your video and I wanted to let you know how gorgeous your shaker card is. I was surprised to see how easy it was to make. I look forward to making one myself now. Thanks !! 😀
I really appreciate all the time and attention to detail you put into the making of this christmas card video. The final result is Gorgeous! Its such a simple yet elegant card that its very beautiful in its simplicity. The the color scheme is in cool blues but I find it to really expresses the warm wishes of the holiday season. I'm sure to give this project a go this year. Thank you so much for posting!
Oh wow, what a beautiful shaker card, very neat and absolutely gorgeous, thanks for sharing. I love the chunky glitter, wish I could find it here in the UK. Your nail polish is delish!
Thank you for noticing the nails. The chunky glitter was just cheapy stuff from a $1 store, do you not have a pound store? That's a shame if you don't as they are great, I buy all sorts of craft bits and pieces from them.
Oh you are welcome. We have a £ store but I have never come across the chunky glitter they only have the regular kind. I had a look and found some on eBay for nail art so I guess that should do. Thanks for your great tutorials. Have a lovely weekend.
Thank you so much Helen, I really really enjoyed watching you create this Absolutely Stunning and Amazing card. It’s so beautiful and very very well executed too. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much for posting this video Helen!!! I am an absolute failure at sponging color onto a card (like your sky and lighter area around the moon). Now that I've seen YOUR technique, I think I will have a greater chance at being successful! I think my failure is that I've been too light with rubbing the color on. I've only been using one layer of each color rather than coming back over the layers to get the beautiful blending you get. Mine always turn out with each layer intruding on the next one instead of blending. Thank you so much! I can't wait to try your card!! :-)
I am so glad to be of help Barb, the best way to get a good blend is keep your hand nice and light, otherwise you get the sponge marks, and just build your layers of colour up gradually, going between the colours until you are happy. You have to be patient and do it gradually. Merry Christmas 🎄🎄🎄
Hi Helen, I haven't seen you for ages. I am stuck on stampin up but not doing much as I haven't been well of late. I am loving this card and want to try it soon but I hate starting too early. Just love this card though. Lots of love.. Janet x
Sorry to hear you havent been well lately Janet, I havent been making cards myself of late, I have so many to use, and just don't have time to do videos either. Nice to see your name pop up.
So very good! Too bad I don't see snow in my hometown. I will have to come up with a Christmas card design, for the area. Pat-South Padre Island, Texas
Its a shaker card, so the 'snow' is sandwiched between card back and acetate behind the apeture. Check out videos on shaker cards theres tons on TH-cam.💚💜💙
I know this is from last year and I know I will probably never be able to re create with you skill and grace but thank you for sharing. I am slightly confused as I am still so new but.... I always knew to just use clear versa mark ink and colored embossing powder. I do have clear embossing powder but I can't even remember what I used it for now lol. Can you help me understand what ink you used with clear embossing powder.
Glad to help Tricia, there are two main types of inks, dye inks which are used for doing coloured solid stamping or other colouring techniques, such as distress ink watercolouring etc, these soak into the paper quickly so you can't emboss with it. The other type of ink pads are pigment, this sits on the surface longer, and that is what you can put clear embossing powder onto and heat set it. You can do this with any coloured ink . I do this method for all my sentiments with black versafine onyx black ink. Hope that helps. 🌻🎄🌷
The card you designed is gorgeous! Thank you for your fantastic video, everything about it was perfect! You are very talented and your voice is relaxing. I was mesmerized until the end. Hope you do lots more, thanks again. 💖
