Lyssa I would like to know more about you; why you decided to restore vintage bags. Where did you learn leather restoration, etc. Please add something to the About section. :-) I would also appreciate if you listed the products you used and a link to where we can purchase them. Thanks for sharing with us!
I think this may have won the "The Worst Before Bag" award! I haven't watched the Fossil one you just put out, but this was a serious rehab. Looks beautiful again!
I love the after shots of your bags. Especially some of them where they look like they have a slight mix of colors. Very beautiful. You did a great job getting those hard stains out. I'm glad you show your products. Thank you for your videos. I love watching them.
This is amazing. How they got in such bad shape too. When they fell out of favor I had so many I wound up giving some of the mailbag flap style to my son to play Indiana Jones. Even his don’t look this bad. Thanks for shining them up ⭐️
People are absolute mess. I bought a cute Dooney and Burke and it was absolutely trashed inside, luckily the outside didn't look like a garbage. It had also the inside zipper shot in place but it is only for the inside pocket, so I can live with it.
Good job on the rehab! Looks like the previous owner/s drove over it with their car repeatedly then left it outside in the cold for years! LOL She looks so much better now. Enjoy!
I just can’t understand and how anyone lets a bag get this bad. I would stop using a bag long before it looked that bad ( although I take care of mine- I find it very therapeutic to clean condition and protect my bags.)
Me too! I went to an estate sale of a hoarder and I found a vintage Coach, made in NYC, Cashin era, all squished and missing it’s strap. It looked so pathetic, like help me lady 😆 I picked it up and it was stiff, like it hadn’t been worn or moved in years. The brass stamped USA solid brass was painted over and I had to remove that as well. It was so sad!!! I bought it and another that was in worse shape, also NYC for $1 each, took it home with the other and just looked at them for a week, I was absolutely disgusted at how poorly it had been treated. Anyhow I washed them and stuffed them and they are so beautiful. It really is shocking how they bounced back from the brink of being tossed out with the trash!!! If it weren’t for videos like these I might have given up!!!
Oh wow~ I have exact bag in dark pink color~ only one slightly dull spot, so I'm feeling pretty fortunate w/the $30 investment. Appreciate this SO much~ especially since I've had it 5 yrs & so far had been unable to identify it. Now I know~ THANK YOU Lyssa! 🌼🤸♀️ (some of the best leather I've ever felt/owned) ~Samantha in AZ
Yes the color of the D U P B A G Y is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…
Definitely a well used bag. Wonder why it’s owner didn’t clean it up every once in a while. I clean mine regularly or if they’re really pricy have a specialist clean them regularly. Nice job on this one. I didn’t think you could put leather or suede in water like that. Learn something new every day I guess. I love the colour of this bag.
Can we use the coconut oil instead of leather conditioner, please can you help us from where we can buy this online Appreciate your sharing with us your experience Nice video
My sister gave me this exact bag. It was mildewed. I washed it in my washing machine on the delicate cycle. Let it dry for two days then confined it. It came out beautifully! This bag is bulletproof!
It doesn't matter where they are made. It depends on the craftsmen and quality inspection. My family and I have purchased D U P B A G Y bags over the past three years and I'm sure you won't be disappointed!
This is my first (but not the last) purchase of a D U P B A G Y bag. For the affordable price, it exceeded my expectations! It's soft, the perfect size, and the color is gorgeous! Love this bag!
I bought a Dalton 31 in a resale store that was perfect! Never used. I love it in every season & now some of the finish with the cream color has come off the leather. I reached out to Coach & they said its authenticity didn’t matter if I didn’t buy it from a Coach store - there was nothing they could recommend. Is there a quality product out there to repair cream leather?
Hi Lyssa, Do you know about any brand ointment to this green leather? I did all your video steps, but my bag has a lot of scractches and dont look like your haha. Regards!
@ Mimi Alcohol removes ink from most office pens but not all. I kept alcohol swabs in my desk drawer for years as my uniform shirt was white and I'm klutzy lol if you are afraid it might remove the purse's color just try it first in an inconspicuous place like under the strap where it buckles. If there's no buckle on the strap then maybe on a corner of the bottom.
I have a question, please? What product would you use to recondition an old Pan Am bag? It's synthetic plastic of some sort. Thank you. I have to figure out how to reattach the anchor point for one side of the strap too. I know it's not a fancy schmancy bag, it's just a sentimental bag that was my late Mom's.
Great job! I would have thought the bag was hopeless. I couldn't even tell what color it was lol. Hard to believe it once belonged to a human. For the life of me I can't understand how anyone would let an expensive bag that they (or someone else) had paid for, get anywhere close to that condition. Wow. I would have looked into dying it. I don't know how to dye a leather bag but I'm going to find out. Thanks for sharing.
I'm sorry, but this looks sooo amature-ish. Soaking a great quality leather bag in dawn dishwashing soap bath and yet most of the stains/spots/discoloration is still there. Even the stain on the liner. I wonder why?.. The "after" looks glossier and probably smells better/cleaner, but is it really restored what it could have been..
AMAZING! I collect vintage coach bags because they are timeless. I love seeing things rehabbed & reused. ♥️

Wow! Its GREEN! When I first saw it I thought it was yellow lol. Great job :) thank you!
I did the same thing to my Coach Sonoma bag. I was worried about putting the oils on the leather but it came out very nice
OMG--I couldn't tell what color it was on the "Before" pics. That green is absolutely gorgeous! Amazing job!!!!
Good God if you can destroy an expensive handbag like that you shouldn't own one Absolute beautiful job .
I agree 100%
Have you ever seen the LV rehabs? Omg! A mess.
People are absolute mess. I bought a cute Dooney and Burke and it was absolutely trashed inside, luckily the outside didn't look like a garbage. It had also the inside zipper shot in place but it is only for the inside pocket, so I can live with it.

Wow! Stunning!!!! Great job.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Wow, does not even look like the same bag. The rich green color came back to life. Thanks so much!
Would you please reference the products that you find the most helpful in the description box? Thanks, beautiful bag.. beautiful job!

How often do you clean or condition them? Do we need to condition leather jackets too?
@@kizk1737 Sure we need to do it! I do it once per year!
Everyone is different

I hope you got that bag for almost free! You did a great job, but I think I would give up.

I just found this exact bag at a thrift store in similar condition. I'm hoping to get it looking this nice!!!
The original coach were pure leather made in New York. Fabulous bags. I have many I refurbished 💖
Your video inspired me to clean my Furla leather bag. Now need to find the product.
Thank you.
Beautiful!! Can you give us a list of products? 😊 thanks!

That bag has been through hell.
Good job!
Love seeing this vintage bags come back to life! Thanks for sharing!🌺🙏
What’s probably driving current s are you using
What products are you using
I think that the nubuck was ruined. Never use oil on suede or nubuck as it will ruin the texture of it.
Thank you! And don't immerse it in water either.
Yup this video is good example of what NOT to do.
I'm glad someone said it. I almost cried when I saw it hit the water. 😔
I was wondering what the original color was.... someone in comments said green
I had to trust that you knew what you were doing, was sure what was going to happen to that one. But it came out beautifully.
Wow. I would have imagined the colour would come back so strongly with just leather conditioner.
Wowwww you do amazing work!
💚 decapar/ disolvente/ renomat y volver a teñir más betún y finalizador. Para las manchas intensas.
Hi Lyssa, why the 20 mins soaking? What if we skip that part, Your videos are excellent!❤️👍❤️
Can we use the coconut oil instead of leather conditioner, please can you help us from where we can buy this online
Appreciate your sharing with us your experience
Nice video
Absolutely beautiful bag! Bravo on a job well done! Even with the ink stains that wouldn't come out is proudly carry this bag!
que buen trabajo!! una pregunta usas agua caliente, tibia o fria?? gracias!!
Wow! Nice job! I love the green leather.
Bag was made in July of 95 but it looked much older, which is why I tuned in.
I take excellent care of my purses, they last forever, when I sell them they are in good shape.
So well crafted 👌👍
Awesome restoration job done
It blows my mind that you can throw a leather bag into a sink of soapy water LOL
Only exceptionally great leather.
My sister gave me this exact bag. It was mildewed. I washed it in my washing machine on the delicate cycle. Let it dry for two days then confined it. It came out beautifully! This bag is bulletproof!
You HAVE to condition it as soon as possible, preferably while it’s still damp.
Great restoration! Ignore the haters, they are just jealous!
A list of the ingredients would be appreciated. 😁

Fantastic job 👍
Thank you!
You did an amazing job!
Please notice me where did you purchase your bag display stand . Thank you
Floods..mold..hurricanes..my home was hit with 100 year flood...2 stories high..my bags..
Wow, brilliant restoration. Well done.
Girl you’re “making” me have a new hobby

Why a tooth brush? Could you use something larger like a nail brush. Love this❤️
Wow!!! You’re such an artist!!
Hi Lyssa, Do you know about any brand ointment to this green leather? I did all your video steps, but my bag has a lot of scractches and dont look like your haha. Regards!
Looks beautiful! How did you know to use alcohol on that spot?
@ Mimi

I have a brown leather coach bag with dark mildew spots that I can’t got off. Is there a way to stain the whole bag darker?
Amazing!! Great job!
Green is my favorite! I don’t own one in that color.
Facinating how the water doesn't ruin it
Excellent work!
Thank you very much. Great job.
Much better 💖
Awesome job 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
You do great work!
washing the leather doesn't damage?
I have a question, please? What product would you use to recondition an old Pan Am bag? It's synthetic plastic of some sort. Thank you. Silicone Spray.
I had a Coach purse with a massive ink explosion on the interior from the previous owner. Should have let you take a crack at it.
What is sprayed looking like powder
Like the ‘new’ timer!
Is your water Hot, Cold, or warm water?
Whew!! That is horrible. Good luck!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🙏🙏🙏🙏
Amazing!!
Mink oil on nubuc is a sad day. This bag wasn’t meant to shine. Why is everyone praising this video?
I couldn’t tell it was green!

Please help me what is that he putting in the water which kind of soap
The after still looks pretty rough. Probably a candidate for paint job.
Was the purse in a house fire 😵
Will you have it dyed ?
Would you mind listing the polishing products used?
One dirty bag that was How does any one do that to a great bag ? Love them have many!! the old all leather ones are the best , thick leather 💕💕💕🥰
If you roll a cuff up on your rubber gloves the water will not drip down your arm! ;)
It's really a shame they didn't know how to use some leather cleaner
What is the real color? Looks green
Unfortunately the nubuck (side) part is ruined, and it is now just smooth leather!
Nubuck is just sanded leather. Better than being in the landfill.
Could you please show the products more slowly. Thank you
Ugh! The nubuck is ruined
satisfying :-)
Sorry, but why didn't you re stain it?
Wow!
How po
👍
I don't think that's the original color. Leather cream can do wonders but not change a color.
Parabéns, ficou linda
i have a real vintage leather satchel and i would never let it get as bad as it was and this was worse lol
it looks old...it would have been better to dye the bag black
I'm sorry, but this looks sooo amature-ish. Soaking a great quality leather bag in dawn dishwashing soap bath and yet most of the stains/spots/discoloration is still there. Even the stain on the liner. I wonder why?.. The "after" looks glossier and probably smells better/cleaner, but is it really restored what it could have been..
I think it still looks really, really bad! I wouldnt carry it, that's for sure!
Soo claen
Saddle soap
If only that bag could talk.
