    Man, are all your videos like this? 👍🏼 ❤ either way with or without the sound it's like you're on the ride. The countryside is imo real, relaxing and the amazing scenery imo is great 👍🏼

    Just bought a 2011 RK Classic w/8600 miles! Stage 1 and Reinhardt pipes. This after a 15 year period of no bike to ride. I just turned 68 a couple of months back, I should have done it sooner, but life gets in the way sometimes. Learning curve has been steep at times but it is all coming back to me….

    Hey Boding I also have a 2000 RoadKing classic and I’m just like you I love my RoadKing. But wanted to tell that the best thing you can do for duke is to buy Marvel Mystery oil and add 1/1/2 once to every full tank of gas and that will keep the fuel injection clean and run great. I never have my fuel injection sputtering it runs great. I also put it in my cars and oil with every oil change. On the cars and truck I used 4onces.

    Excellent video! Fuel injection was an option until 2006. I'm currently shopping for my 1999-2002 carbureted Road King. The twin cam engine had timken style crankshaft bearings up to 2002. Aside from the cam chain tensioners and charging systems, the twin cam engines, primaries and transmissions are well proven at this point.

  • @Road_Rash

    Whether or not windshields 'look cool' or not is a personal opinion...if your windshield doesn't look cool, you need a different windshield...& if your bike can't handle the small amount of extra weight a windshield adds, you need a new motorcycle...

    I had an 07 RKC and that was a pain b/c the bike had an issue that was never recalled. The issue was that after riding highway speeds and exiting and reaching a Stop sign or a red light the bike would just die. The ECM didn't know to regulate itself when RPM's would drop after cruising speeds. HD never had a fix for it and didn't bother with it. I rode it for a couple of yrs and moved on to a 13 Limited at the time.

    I think my ‘05 Road King looks so much better without the windshield as well. It is funny though that when I didn’t have the driving lights on him, the windshield had so much less turbulence. It was the best windshield of that type I’d ever had. The driving lights dirtied up the airflow enough that it was unbelievable it was the same windshield and bike. I try to keep it off as much as possible. Hanging out in the wind just seems so much more in character on him.

    My 2002 Road King Classic named "Phoenix" greatly dislikes the cold as well. This Wisconsin boy has to let it warm up for a good 5 minutes as well before riding.
    Also, i have started the Custom Dynamics lights upgrades based on videos from last year you posted. Passing lamps are in, and the main headlight is on order. Will do the taillight in probably late July.

    • @ElwoodBCT
      @ElwoodBCT ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BoDean52 no regrets thus far. Has made a huge visibility difference. Plus its been entertaining still having the stock headlight on, and the passing lamps on an auxiliary switch. Gives that stock riding look until needed, then oh boy! Let there be light!
      You mentioned in a comment about potentially needing a different 7" trim ring after installing the main headlight for proper fit?

    • @BoDean52
      @BoDean52  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ElwoodBCT I could just never get the original one back on correctly so I ordered a new one actually through Harley parts. It did the trick. Those headlight rings are really fussy once you take them apart. Glad it’s working out for you.
