Opening a new server is basically for new coming players for them to enjoy the game without feeling FOMO. Its actually a nice system that most people dont appreciate, imagine you just played the game since u just heard about it but the game was running for few weeks now, the amount of effort you’d be putting to catch up is frustrating thats why opening new servers is a good for the game.
Better example is ROM and origin ROM(single server with more ch) still have more active players than origin(multiple server then merge) even thou it's newer
There's less FOMO actually on this one because there's no stamina limit. They can catchup to levels pretty quick since it's an unlimited grind even in card drops they can catch up. It's also better if we only have one big server because we can play with our friends even if we started at release and they just started like a couple months later.

You lost me at 'no limit' on paths and builds there. RO classic has it but not so much and this having power level seems to not have it sadly and inching on linear paths. Following eternal, rox and origins also the same aspect of building a one man army (played all btw) with the upgrading of slots and cards as an example. Can name a few MMO that have vast character building with fairly balanced mechanics. Sadly gravity has been running this title to the ground and clinging to pure nostalgia. And by the looks of it this one is another nostalgia farm. Also my personal opinion. ✌️
