Why I don't listen to people. He's telling you not to start short but I did and it came out fine. The texture of the hair definitely takes a role in when to start.
I feel like it’s best to start short, not too long. It’s nothing wrong with starting from the scalp. I feel like that is a part of the experience and your locs develops more body that way
I feel the same. I started with a small afro and then got them done. My hair has grown and I’ve had alot less shrinkage starting that way. To each is own though
I would prefer to start with at least 5 or 6 inches of hair if you get em loced at 3 or 4 they will be super short and you will have to rough out the look and they are easier to unravel at that length
Bruh how you gonna tell a ANYONE they can’t start them short? I’ve done it and ima do it again. There’s something called an “ugly” stage. That stage is the test for you to really commit to them. That’s why having them natural is respected. Smh this gen z sumthin else.
@@Bound2chaos2the amount depends on your parts and if you have hair all over your head, not the length unless you’re waiting for certain areas to grow… I’m starting mine again this weekend and I had a large undercut and let most of it grow out. There’s still a small one under there but I’ll let it grow out later. Can’t keep rocking this fro ima end up cutting it
bro that speeds up hair growth in general because it stops cotton from drying you hair out and keeps it moist to stop breakage, thats if you have cotton pillow case, but with almost any hair style a bonnet and durag is good to stop fuzzing and loosening because it keeps the hair compact and makes it harder to move.
There is no strong evidence that purports biotin in increasing hair growth, also most adults consume more than the adequate intake of biotin each day, by just eating three eggs you get your daily allotment.
My hair is 7 inch's and I have 4c hair. Mine touches my nose when I pull it down to my nose. But my hair isn't blow dried or flat ironed. Does that make sense?
‼*QUESTION*‼Could I get a style on the same day of getting starter locs or should I wait for it to loc a little bit first? I want two barrel cornrows, Btw.
For those asking for elliot cadeau dreadlocks they aren't different. They are just thicker locs . I had his locks 6 years ago they are just thick locs that haven't been retwisted in a while which causes frizz that covers up the sections. Also he got a full dread head which I had. It makes his locs look more full compared to a high top which makes locs look more defined.

*I think he means not too short and if even that, everyone’s hair is different.*
How long was your hair
That proves he doesn't know shit....so did I. Hair wasn't an inch when I started and it came out perfectly fine
I was about to say this… i started my last set super short and it came out fine. I just didn’t like the parting but the length wasn’t an issue
*I did it too at first because of this I was going to wait till my hair was like 2 more inches taller but I got impatient and it came out fine

the first part is cap i started with short hair and my locs stay in just fine none of them unravel i think it mostly depends on your hair texture

@@bendovertheiii1597you can start at whatever length I started last week but my shi already at eye length so after a year my shi should be right

You can start yours short but I started mine longer just to avoid the weird stage and it’s definitely worth it
Greatlocs should do a vid based on B lovee (drill rapper) dreadlocs

So wearing a durag on starter locs can speed up the locking process?
