  • Today I will be showing how to make a DIY PVC Rod Holder with an Optional Go Pro Mount. This design has been floating around for a while. I first saw it on Vibe Kayak Owners Group. I just modified it to fit my needs. Below is a list of materials I used. If you have any question please feel free to comment.

    Solid solution. Best I’ve seen. Really clean design and functional, especially with the adjustable GoPro arms and locking pins. Very well thought out solution and nice paint to match finish. Great job!!!

    Bro I appreciate you making this! I have the new vibe shearwater 125 and I hate the rod holders. Did this and I love it. Painted it all black and it looks awesome. I just need to do the GoPro mount now

    I built a pvc fishing cart and instead of gluing together I used stainless screws in each joint so it could be easily taken apart and modified as I want to make changes and additions

    Now that you've had a chance to use your rod holders, do you feel that they sit too high? Any modifications or adjustments you would make, if you were to rebuild?

  • @jackcole2654

    Are you able to adjust to holder backward for if your going under a bright or trees etc you can face the rods backwards?

    • @TheHoneyHaven
      @TheHoneyHaven  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can install the holders in any direction you would like. I am sure you could even make them adjustable.

    What length did you use in between the crosses to connect them

      I believe they are slightly less than 1 inch pieces, you want a piece just to hold the glue.

    Put more holes in the one inch pipes for 360° movement
