The car has done 44000 miles which is 70,811 km and yet the belts were done at 75000 km .....something wrong here man....and the radiator looking thingy on top of the engine....that's the intercooler you were looking for....
92 Impreza type ra does have a Sti hand built engine These cars were special order The very early cars ( version 1 RA) were NOT branded STI yet were the cars STI was building to promote Subaru in rallying Soon as Subaru started winning STI increased the branding hence why the version 2 is called a STI RA Other years later things changed but the early years rest assured STI built the very first RA’s
@@chiefrocka8604 This, currently looking at a 94 that has a closed deck block, 5 speed Dccd but it has a regular WRX engine, I’ve spent the last three days looking for info on it and only found three forum articles where everyone basically shrugs lol and the funny thing is that depending on where you look there are sources that say that you could get an STI trim with a WRX motor making it both a Regular WRX and one of the earliest STIs 😂 Maybe it’s just me but I find it hilarious how chaotic and unorganized Subaru was with this back in the 90s.
@@griffins5655 all EJ20G that came in the WRX or STI sedan are the same with a closed deck. All EJ20G that came in the pre 99 Foresters and the pre 99 Impreza WRX wagons are open deck. No one knows why Subaru called them EJ20Gs for these cars as they are basically first gen EJ205's. This created lots of confusion for people. The only difference with the RA EJ20G is the 5th injector. The closed deck EJ20G had no forged internals and weaker heads. The later EJ20K/EJ207 were semi closed deck with forged internals and stronger head design. Yes a closed deck is better but if you don't upgrade the internals then the later engines are actually stronger stock for stock. I've owned 7 JDM WRX/STI and know them like the back of my hand. They all drive pretty much the same. Sum just have more boost then others but the same driving characteristics.
Intercooler is not in the front bro !
You should fix that STI badge on the rhd guard, it should sit below the suage line but probably just remove it to keep it model correct.
Beautiful car man looks like a WRX RA not a STI RA but again awesome car
You are correct! The STI has 10 more HP
@@atljdm2539 and the sti has a roof vent and dccd and different colour seats
@@henno180sx8 absolutely correct...
V1 ra 92-94
V2 ra a Sti with the extra bits 95-96

bro the intercooler is on top of the engine, not at the front LOL the sprayer is on the hood vent hahaha
Nice ride dude, enjoy it 👍
I got tooted today in mine, they do turn heads😊
Does the wrx type-ra have a close ratio box like the STI type-ra?
Great video but shame you got the model wrong. That's a wrx ra not an sti ra.
The engine in a 92 93 94 Type RA is built by STI 😂
Infact tell me what STI were doing in 88,89,90,91,92,93 huh … see you fail@sti
It's not a STI or a Type RA. It's Just a WRX Version 3 As Far as I Know. Don't See a Roof Vent That's Why It's Not a Type RA.
its a wrx ra, which is just a stripped down version of the wrx of that year with a tighter gear ratio.
Version 2. Sorry to be so late to the party
This is a WRX RA not an STi my man
I know I messed up 🙃
