I was going to say "Gravity Rush 2 needs to be on this list" and glad it made it. Being made by Japan Studios they have a way of adding something unique to a saturated market. Just a shame they don't get the love they deserve
Gravity Rush 2 is by far my favorite PS4 game and one of my favorites of all time, the characters and the world are incredible well made, the gameplay can be quite annoying sometimes, but the game is still pretty good. A shame Sony didn't cared enough about the series and closed Japan Studio.
An amazing list I have wrapped my my PS3 collection so moving now onto the PS4 so seeing some games here gives a good idea what to put on my list. Hoping to possibly see in future some games I have tried that were overlooked Psychonauts 2, Sext Brutale, Crystar and Scarlet Nexus
My friends played and liked Tokyo Xanadu. Seemed interesting. I also liked Kingdoms of Amalur, though i played it on PS3. I have the PS4 version as well and I think it has all the DLC built in, plus some new stuff.

Should be also Sakura Wars (2019) and Valkyria Chronicles 4 on list. The last ,,true'' PS4 ekslusives: Fist of The North Star Lost Paradise (SEGA), Sakura Wars (SEGA), Gravity Rush 2 (SONY), Bloodborne (SONY), and The Witch & the Hundred Knight 2 (NISA). Those 5 games you can play ONLY on PS4 or PS5.
I really fell in love with "Gravity Rush" after playing the Remaster. Also loved the second part. To bad we will probably never get a third one, although GR2 also kind of ended on a Cliffhanger if I remember correctly. Proteus. There were a couple of those "Doom Clones" on PS4. But I never heard of that one. Noted, thank you. Also on a personal note: It's not PlayStation exclusive, but I really enjoyed "Mercenary Kings" back in 2014. Also thanks to PS+ back in the day. A second hidden gem for me, but sadly Japan exclusive: "Densha de GO!!! Yamanote-sen", even better, if you had a PSVR set. Luckily the gameplay is easy to grasp, and there is not much of a language barrier you need to overcome.
Tokyo Xanadu is pretty epic tbh. Found the first half the game pretty boring personally and forced myself to keep playing for the sake of it, and honestly glad I did. It does get pretty damn good. Also thanks for giving GR attention
Get Even seems like an interesting game to check out (despite the poor critical reception). However, Kingdoms of Amalur looks REALLY cool! I have to check that game out! Awesome video as always man!

FOTNS Lost Paradise was a big disappointment for me having played it after Ken's Rage on PS3. It felt like they tried to shoehorn RPG elements into the game just because that's what all the popular games do nowadays and it really killed the pacing of the game IMO.

It’s not. I wouldn’t say Lake is a hidden gem. It’s a cosy little game but it’s just a tad too slow. And I didn’t really care much for the characters in the end as I felt they don’t really build them as much as it could do.
Game was released only on PS4 in same month with Final Fantasy VII Remake, Persona 5 Royal, Resident Evil 3 Remake, Trials of Mana Remake. VERY BAD release date. And Dating Sims / Visual Novel games sells better on PC (Steam) or Switch (in Japan). Playstation have a bad reputation for those kind of games (censorship and blocking localizations, for example: in the past they rejected localization ... Sakura Wars 1 & 2 on PSP).

I own prodeus on the switch and it is so much fun and a great "boomer shooter" that feels right at home with quake and doom, I'd say even somewhat mixing the best of both.

Tokyo Xanadu Ex + is a great game. Was hoping we would get the Switch port here in the States. Japan got it, hopefully we will still, wpyld love yo have the game to play portably on Switch. I did enjoy amd beat it originally on PS4 though.

I tried Prodeous, but I really didn't care for it. I'd rather replay Terminator Resistance or Wolfenstein The New Order and The Old Blood over Prodeous. I'm glad Trepang 2 is finally getting released on PS5 and Xbox Series X in October. Shame there isn't a Nintendo Switch port.

Should add Sleeping Dogs on the list. I know it's pretty big, but compared to other open world games it's so underrated.

I just platinumed Fist of the Northstar it took 171 hrs i love this game
Fist of the North Star goes so hard. Shame we never got a Devilman game or third attack on titan game.
Gravity Rush deserves a third entry! It was such a unique series. Its a shame that Japan Studios is now extinct.

Most of these are available for Windows, but I second the Fist of the North Star one. It's Yakuza in anime style.

Bought Lake on PS4. The game runs very badly on last gen console. Played for about half an hour and then had enough. The game looks like PS2 title.
It's a shame Gravity Rush 2 is considered a hidden gem. A game which so much heart deserved way better sale numbers
