Yep--sounds like a boss battle with some lighter sections while they slowly unveil their evil scheme through some monologuing. Not sure if it's Undertale per se but video game confrontation was definitely the vibe I got.

Been listening to this on loop for the last few days, and it just gets more exciting - I absolutely love how the leitmotifs build on each other to make sense of such a bizarre mixed metre, and how the notation shows the phrasing even when it contradicts expectations. Harmonically, rhythmically, and vibes-wise, this is spectacular.

I think it would be playable on a polysynth if you transpose every note an octave down but idk
