I am from Panama and I know that very rarely does that kind of fauna, especially that bird, come close to houses. They must feel very safe with you, it is impressive and beautiful.
@@edypanama7221 ☺️☺️ That makes me happy. The nequi babies are adorable. I still call them agouti 😆 This morning there were monkeys in the neighboring trees!
I always look forward to your monthly garden tours...brings back wonderful memories of my childhood in El Valle, back in the '40's. I had an agouti as a pet.
@@PattybluehayesIt was a gentle animal, would make purring sounds when petted. It came into our yard one day, I fed it and it stayed. I found it dead in my yard one day, nearby was a dead coral snake. They must have killed each other.
I love your garden tours! Your yard is beautiful and peaceful. I love the Toucans! … the good looking bullies :). How large is your lot? where do you buy your plants?
@@JeffreyHallin This morning, there were 2 toucans at the feeder 🤩 my lot is 1,000 square meters. It feels manageable for me. Many of my plants were cuttings. Some plants I bought from different viveros. Oh, the woman you mentioned from LinkedIN, I haven’t heard of her.

@@robh2312 That’s actually Caraiguana, behind my house. ☺️
@@PattybluehayesNice! Have you hiked either one?
@@robh2312 I’ve done 1/3 of Caraiguana. And only up to the petroglyphs at India Dormida.
I’ve done Gaital and the Watercress trail more often.

What's that chirping sound in the background?
@@mabe1618 Likely a bird - possibly the woodpecker. It has a loud, urgent call 😆 Could be frogs - so many creatures!
