水陸両用車はWWⅡで旧独軍、米軍が大量に実戦投入しました。シュビムワーゲン(Schwimmwagen）はナチスドイツの四輪駆動型水陸両用小型軍用車。アメリカ軍はGM製の水陸両用大型輸送車両:DUKW を実戦に投入、またジープのシャーシをベースにしたFord製の G.P.A.も多数を投入しました。両陣営の車両は動画にあるように共に優れた機動性を備えていましたが、戦後は戦術の変化により装軌型、戦闘型、大型化が進み、軍用ではオープントップの水陸両用車は消えつつあります。戦後は民間用レジャーカーとして、1960年代に旧西独で開発生産されたアンフィカー(Amphicar770)が市販されました。
陸上だけでなく水上も自由に移動できるクルマには近未来のモビリティイメージが投影され、そのスタイリングをイメージした様々な水陸両用車のトイやキットが生み出されました。

戦中、日本にも「スキ車」というトラックとモーターボートを足して二で割ったような水陸両用車があった。トヨタ製。
台風常襲地帯で、梅雨や秋の長雨もある日本にとって、水陸両用車は必要だよね。
タミヤの初代シュビムワーゲンを最近（2024年）作りましたがドライバーフィギュアがハンドルを握るようには組み立てる事ができませんでした。日本だと船舶免許が必要でしょう。アンフィビアン（両生類）。
こういった車両は普段使いではあまり実用性が無いかな？整備性も良く無さそうな感じがしますね！あくまでも趣味性の高い車ですね～何か遊覧用のバスみたいな車両がありましたね？
