2 ingredient Chocolate Mousse! Fancy dessert for Valentine’s Day!!!

This chocolate mousse is only 2 ingredients and it is easy to make! It is a very rich dessert and would be great for Valentine’s Day!

Super Easy Chocolate Mousse for Two
Ingredients:
For the Chocolate Base:
Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips: 1/3 cup (60 grams)
Heavy Whipping Cream: 2 and 1/2 tablespoons (37.5 grams)
For Whipped Cream:
Heavy Whipping Cream: 1/4 cup (60 grams)
Optional Toppings:
Whipped Cream
Chocolate Hearts
Directions:
1 .In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and 2 and 1/2 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream.
2. Microwave the mixture in 30-second intervals until the cream is hot and starts to bubble.
Stir the mixture until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
3. Allow the melted chocolate mixture to cool down while still remaining liquid.
4. In a separate mixing bowl, pour in the cold heavy whipping cream.
5. Using a hand mixer or a stand mixer, whip the cream until stiff peaks form.
Be careful not to overwhip the cream, as it can turn into butter.
6. Once the chocolate mixture has cooled down, take half of the whipped cream and gently fold it into the chocolate using a spatula.
7. Fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture until fully incorporated, being careful not to deflate the whipped cream.
8. Transfer the chocolate mousse mixture into serving bowls or glasses. Chill the mousse in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until it reaches the desired firmness.
9. Once chilled, remove the chocolate mousse from the refrigerator. Optionally, top the mousse with additional whipped cream and garnish with chocolate hearts or other decorations the enjoy!
