That being said we still don't know Madara MS abilities so i would say it's a draw now but a more experinced Sasuke will definitely be able to defeat Madara.
Here’s the thing. Suraj is correct with his analysis of sasuke. It’s not about sasuke wanting to rule the world or wanting to be good. It’s him understanding that the only reason the great nations came together is because they had a common enemy. Sasuke accepted that if this is needed that he is willing to take on all that hate and be the new common enemy in order to maintain the piece. Not saying it’s right or wrong.
I 100% agree Ben L. Everyone except Surj is so hyper focused on just rating Sasuke as evil that they aren't opening their minds and seeing it for all the sides just their's. Sasuke wanta to do what Itachi failed to do with him but on a massive scale. The third Hokage in my opinion was trash after he had to retake the position after Naruto's father died. He dug his head into the sand and allowed horrible things to happen while he was in charge. He knew of all the dirty dealings of Danzo and never stoppes it. He even admitted as much to Sasuke. The man's whole bloodline was wiped out and as much as he hates it he gets what Itachi's main goal was even up to the trying to make sasuke hate him part. Many Kages have come and gone and the cycle still continued. Look at how many special bloodlines we have met with only one remaining surviver who is also now dead. Sasuke's point is valid. Not the best way but it's a way.
Sasuke's conviction is similar to Pain, not Madara. He's essentially a deterrent for the world through means of fear. "Don't do anything bad or I will kill you" essentially, which is exactly what pain wanted to do through using the ten tails. Also, the 5 Kage aren't anywhere close to being able to take on Sasuke. He could sneeze and kill them all accidentally at this point

Sort of... Its also to rebuilt the government though. Naruto wants to be the current kage system. Meanwhile Sasuke would end that and start from scratch. Hense "revolution". He would also control things from the "shadows", meaning unlike the kages, he wouldn't be a public figure or lead any kind of normal life. That's why Naruto said it would be a very lonely life. At least pain was gonna rule with the akatsky members (or with Konan at least).

The truth is simply this,Sasuke wants a real answer(solution) to the problem that affects the current shinobi world. The thing is even Naruto with all his talk no jutsu,and "believe it" quotes doesn't have an answer. Being Hokage is very complicated,more than even Naruto can comprehend at this time. In truth Sasuke is doing basically what his brother did to keep the peace in the village. He doesn't believe his life has any meaning other than being hated at this time to achieve that peace. Even if it means denying his own happiness. (This is not his wish),but what he believes he has to do. The true answer doesn't come only through Naruto though,it needs Sasuke's input as well. They both have experiences that can help each other find an answer. I think that's what people miss that the author is trying to explain here. This fight is not about who's stronger power wise, if it was they would destroy each other.
Defending Naruto...the rest I agree The word "shinobi" itself in the show doesn't just refer to the ninjas but also a word to "endure" and that is the correct path which Naruto is doing. The world is united right now....they just need to maintain it by sheer optimism, mutual understanding and teaching the lessons of the past. The ambition for peace will just breed another ideology in the most extreme way, just like Pain, Obito, Madara, Sasuke and even the Sage, when he decided to share his chakra to everyone which resulted in more wars. If Naruto can't find the peace in his lifetime, he needs to entrust it to the next generation. tldr. Peace can only be maintained not achieved.

Naruto has optimism,but that also requires a realistic view of the sacrifices a Hokage has to deal with in order to maintain that peace. He learns this later on, how hard it is,to where even he almost starts to lose faith a bit. Sasuke has a realistic view,but lost a lot of his optimism,in part because of seeing the current system fail so many,including his own clan,due to reforms that were not implemented,and things overlooked. You need a balanced understanding,and implementation of both optimism and realism,as well as others people's knowledge,cooperation,and experiences to maintain peace. People tend to go overboard in giving Naruto credit for fixing everything,when even he acknowledges that his own efforts are not enough. It's why killing Sasuke was not the answer. He would need him later,as well as others Sasuke brings along with him. Even Sakura contributes to this in a very important way(don't want to spoil). Naruto learned a lot,even from Sasuke saving his life during the fight with Haku. The sacrificing of his dream to avenge his clan to save a friend stuck with him. It was why he fought so hard to make Sasuke remember who he truly was. Sasuke's true self was known to both Sakura, and Naruto. They had seen it at different times during their early training as team 7,through his willingness to save them at the cost of his own life. They knew that deep inside Sasuke really didn't want to go down this road. Even the first Hokage would have gained more with Madara's help and experiences,making the village stronger. All that to say that the combined efforts,and experiences of others,and not just one person's,is what is needed. Naruto is just one part of the puzzle. Sorry for the long rant:).

Sometimes we forget that everyone experiences pain and suffering differently and not everyone can get over it quickly... I was reminded of that when they showed Sasuke lying on the ground in his old house filled with cobwebs.. he didn't just lose his family at home but his village a his cla.. he didn't want to be comforted an told everything will be ok.. if he couldn't be placed in a time machine then he rather make a world where no one should experience such suffering.. this is why I can't dislike his character, just his actions.. even I still want to save him from himself.. may we be that person for someone in reality

the reason sasuke needs to get rid of the kages because as he said before the kages created this system get rid of the old, he is not killing kages because they are stronger or strong they are not stronger then sasuke, in fact sasuke could take care of them easily even if they awake since the kages lost to madara before he even had sage of six paths power. Naruto literally becomes who sasuke says he wants to become in order to keep the peace. There was only peace in boruto bcuz everyone knew that Naruto could max them all out if they stepped out of line. That's why when people strong enough to take out Naruto showed up, everything went to shit. So sasuke wasnt entirely wrong. Their world still needed an extremely powerful figure looming over it, in order for the people to act right. It just ended up being Naruto.
I know it’s not everyone’s favorite thought, it’s kinda the role of the US I’m today’s political landscape. It’s assumed whomever the US sides with will win so large scale conflicts are unlikely to happen unless really desperate times occur.
I love the way that It switches from them as kids back to adult. Even the parts where they use each other’s hands to finish off hand signs to jutsu’s. This just shows how much the know each other
Naruto/Sasuke fight was the absolute best. Kishimoto said that he knew the final battle/scenes for Naruto from the very beginning, which is why these final episodes/chapters were so well-done and well-written. You may not agree with Sasuke but you should be able to understand his reasoning here, and it's consistent with his character. Also about the discussion, Sasuke is not trying to be "good". He's trying to be effective because he's completely goal-oriented. And his goal is world peace. The reason why he believes his is the correct option is because every other option has failed. Acting as an "Itachi for the world" is the one option which he's seen personally work in his own life, so he thinks it's a viable path for the world as well. If another better option was presented that Sasuke could see for himself, he would absolutely pursue that as well. This is not a path that Sasuke *wants* to do but one that he feels he *needs* to in order to fulfill that goal of world peace. As a solution, Sasuke has the most logical plan for world peace. Naruto doesn't actually have an answer himself since his 'peace' is completely dependent on his own charisma and good faith of others, which doesn't work in the world. In the real world you need an existential threat to unite others and force people to work together, either it's the environment or threat of nuclear world like in our world, or a god of darkness like Sasuke would be in the Narutoverse.
Remember ninjas are suppose to maintain as much chakra as possible when fighting. That's why they started with taijutsu and slowly and smartly started using chakra little by little just to get the edge on their opponent before they run out. One of the reasons why I loved this fight.

Sasuke's solution sounds a lot like Zero Requiem, minus the dying part. You could tell Naruto was holding back more in this fight than the last time they fought at the Valley of the End. Back then, Naruto was fighting with such ferocity and desperation that he considered breaking every bone in Sasuke's body was a better alternative to having his best friend throw his life away. This time, while still very personal, he's not as desperate. He knows just beating Sasuke within an inch of his life will not cut it because this is a battle between ideals rather than strength. Naruto needs to change Sasuke's mindset otherwise even if he does beat him, there's nothing stopping Sasuke from trying to enact his plan again, other than life behind a cell or death. Should it come to that then Naruto really would have failed to save him.
My problem with Kaguya and Black zetsu as final villains. It does not change anything between Naruto or Sasuke as characters. You would think Saskia‘s perspective would change after getting told Black Zetsu was responsible while your life was horrible! It wasn’t Itachi or the village to blame, it was ALL BLACK ZETSU! Yet Sasuke got rid of him with naruto! So why is Sasuke continuing his ideology like fighting an alien did not even happen?? If you literally skip The Kaguya story line. Nothing changes to the original story. Naruto and Sasuke were always going to fight regardless of anything….. Nothing changes if you skip the Kaguya stuff….. It was such a beyond waste of time…. When Sasuke and Naruto have their final battle. It has nothing to do with Kaguya! They are still working out their issues between each other of the important elements of Naruto’s story. Again The Kaguya story line has nothing to do with the original story. You can skip it and it would feel like we just got done watching a filler arc. 🫠
I just love the Solution to the "Sasuke- Problem" at the End... and even if you think it might be to easy as an answer... The Naruto Solution in the next episodes is brilliant to me because if you break it down to basically every possible szenerio- "Narutos Solution" could be right if done right and I love the Idea that empathie could save us all.
the issue is sasuke is looking for a fix and there is no such thing. It's like the old superman cartoons say "it's a never ending battle" any "fix" will only lead back to more death and war. So while there is no easy answer naruto is right you just have to keep work at it.
The way I read it, Sasuke wants to eliminate Naruto, because he feels like ANY emotional ties would prevent him from being impartial. He is an avenger. He plans to kill all the leaders. I think his plan is to blast everyone back to the stone age, and remove all governments. He'd then monitor the planet and make sure everyone behaves. He would eliminate any threats above a certain level, that had the potential to shift the balance of power. (Tailed beasts, Kage, those with exceptionally strong abilities, etc.) Basically, he'd become the Bad Cop, that everyone fears, and create an environment where no one dares step out of line. When you sit on a throne, people can conspire to dethrone you. When you rule from the shadows, you never know when Sasuke might teleport in & punish you. I think he'd allow the villages to have some sort of City Hall, but every nation would have an empty throne, that Sasuke could occupy at any time.
what i love about this fight is that Naruto is holding back the entire time, Sasuke was trying to kill Naruto the whole time and Naruto was just trying to stop him without killing or hurting him too bad. Naruto is a beast
I am just a bit surprised that people find it hard to understand where Sasuke is coming from?! I'm not saying that Sasuke is right. He is definitely wrong and the bad guy here. But the reasons for his actions have some validity. Like he didn't arrive to this conclusion on an impulse. And it makes it even more sense to do something like this right after madara's plan. Because he's seen that idealism never did anything for this world. Pain, Obito, Madara, Itachi and even Danzo... they moved through the shadows and made actual change happened. Danzo, being a piece of shit he was, he did save the village from an Uchiha Coup... Something Third Hokage couldn't even do shit with his idealism. All Third Hokage did was "We'll talk" but he never did. Sasuke saw all that. and with amount of hate and anger and violence he's experienced in his life... it makes total sense to why he's doing what he is doing now. He's a total villain right now... but why he is being a villain... it makes total sense to me. And never thought that this sasuke was someone people would not understand. He definitely has been annoying for most of the series because he was impulsive and let someone else manipulate him. This is the first time he's arrived at a conclusion on his own. And his own life as well as his brother's is what has influence him to this point.
Yes, sasuke is in dictator mindset, sacrificing himself and doing necessary evil for (what he thinks is) the greater good, and so far noone can disprove his method would work, it's morally wrong but its effective, we are OBVIOUSLY not supposed to agree with him, but sasukes way is the most efective one so far (without taking everyones free will like madara's infinite tsukuyomi.)
Keep in mind that Sasuke is fighting to kill while Naruto is fighting to save and they’re still evenly matched. It repeats how Indra starts with power while Ashura eventually catches up and (maybe) even surpasses him

It is logical if you want world peace. Humans inevitably have conflict and wars without something that forces them to work together and live peacefully with each other. It's in our biology and sociology to seek conflict. That's why there's the saying "history repeats itself". The only constant there is us as humans. The only way there can be enduring world peace is through some sort of powerful external force being applied which forces people to get along, rather than just relying on 'good will' which is Naruto's approach. That's how it's always been throughout history.

Episodes #476-477 are both storyboard and directed by Hiroyuki Yamashita (director of Episode #322, #345, #375, BORUTO: Naruto the Movie). He really bent over backwards to direct these two episodes and also personally corrected some of the animation (like he did on #322, #345 and #375).
This fight was so amazing they did a good job showing Sasuke use all these different techniques and it really makes you think how cool of a concept the creator had to make Naruto based off Japanese mythology and how Sasuke and itachi or Uchiha in general have abilities that the gods had in Japanese mythology
In essence, Sasuke is seeking a solution based on a belief that humans fundamentally cannot understand one another and cooperate willingly. That's what he learned from his experiences and what he saw as the inevitable result of the current system, when even hashirama gave up trying to understand madara and decided to kill his best friend to defend his dream. Naruto saw much of the same through his own experiences but he has absolute faith through the people he met and the people he decided to listen to that it is possible to trust one another when we understand their pain. From all the people that put their trust on him, he knows that if he kills Sasuke right here it's same as proving Sasuke right, if he kills Sasuke he gives up on his dream. Even if he gets the Hokage position he'll never be a true Hokage in his mind. So Naruto's mission is more than stopping Sasuke but also show him that things can be different if they don't give up on humanity. That was the true cycle of history that wasn't created by Black Zetsu, and that's the cycle that Naruto wants to stop.
The soundtrack, lack of and addition, at the end! The fight choreography shows that they both know exactly their strengths!! Amazing. Sasuke not letting naturo use clones. Naruto Hiding behind a clone for a surprise attack that the Sharingan can't see! Fucking brilliant!
I think the villages would still have their own rulers. He would be more like a god figure that occasionally massacre people that are bickering for land, or planning a coup and be hated by everyone.
Sasuke's reasoning and mind set could very easily lead him to being exactly like Danzo. Danzo didn't do all the bad shit he did for laughs but b/c he believed it was ultimately for the best of his village which is what Sasuke is trying to do on a much larger scale for the whole world, which means the action would be scaled much larger as well. Where Danzo felt that an entire clan needed to be wiped out for the good of the village Sasuke could one day believe that an entire village, city or even nation needs to be completely wiped out for the good of the world.

You guys did too much assuming, Sasuke never stated he'd kill people for changing or progressing, he's killing those who try to to keep the ninja world as it is...he'd in theory only pop up to remain a threat and kill those who he deems corrupt.
I get people frustrated with sasukes choices throughout the series. But putting personal feelings aside I really didn’t hate may of the things he chose to do lol Ide say I was cool with a good 80%💀. He was a villain but written a lot better than most give him credit for. If naruto was a seinen he’d be the main character people root for maybe until the end fight lol.
If I will master English (rather than going through a translator each time); I would love to have a chat with Suraj. His way of expressing himself, as well as many of his remarks and his calmness in the discussions are very pleasant to follow. I'm not going to say that he and I look alike, but compared to everyone in the videos, he's the one I can relate to the most in terms of how we speak and how we think about multiple topics. 🙂
These Episodes are the absolut best ! Also keep in mind that both of them fought for 2 days straigth ! And both of them even died for a short time. And they still have strength left to battle each other full on. The reasons with the flashbacks during the fight is that Sasuke once told naruto that when shinobi get strong to a certain point they are able to convey thier feelings to each other through fights. thats why they share these memories throough this fight.
Sasuke is not copying Madara. Madara wanted to put everyone to sleep, like Naruto told him it's fake reality. While Sasuke initially giving the ppl a choice. Follow his ideas and live your life freely and peacefully, or face his judgement. If u wanna cause conflict and war, he'll take u out. If u can live peacefully with others and other nations, you're be good

Oke oke, here's a fact. This battle was released like in the middle of 2016, yet Naruto Storm 4 was released sooner (making me to experience this whole fight on my xbox one) And aside from the coolio animation, the quicktimes of Storm deserve to be considered cannon xD
i love this final fight, its my favorite resolution in anime, i love this show since i was little, and even tho the awr arc could have been better, this is the perfect ending in my eyes (specially the anime version)

Thats a good idea too but i had imagined that he would just put the Hokage's under genjutsu and he would speak through them from afar where ever he may live, maybe like some fortress in the sky. Clones disappear if they get too far from orginal body. Naruto is the only one who can do it beacuse he has a lot of chakra and nine tails in him. So Sasauke can't run villages.

Am i missing something. People for years called out naruto for being babies first philosophy class and how simple and not complex it is, but everyone here is having a hard time even telling the difference between marada's plan and sasuke after he explained it. Seems super simple and something we've seen done in other series. Sasuke is basically enacting the end of watchmen and becoming the nuke that will go off every few years to remind people a power house is out there that you need to all work together to face or be annihilated...take out the old hokage to erase the old system of split powers and have a world united against one evil...seems simple. They're debating it like it's complex. Makes me believe similar shows plots aka CODE YOU KNOW and Attack are overlooked and hated on for their endings cause people don't understand simple plots lol. I 100% agree Ben L. Everyone except Surj is so hyper focused on just rating Sasuke as evil that they aren't opening their minds and seeing it for all the sides just their's. Sasuke wanta to do what Itachi failed to do with him but on a massive scale. The third Hokage in my opinion was trash after he had to retake the position after Naruto's father died. He dug his head into the sand and allowed horrible things to happen while he was in charge. He knew of all the dirty dealings of Danzo and never stoppes it. He even admitted as much to Sasuke. The man's whole bloodline was wiped out and as much as he hates it he gets what Itachi's main goal was even up to the trying to make sasuke hate him part. Many Kages have come and gone and the cycle still continued. Look at how many special bloodlines we have met with only one remaining surviver who is also now dead. Sasuke's point is valid. The truth is simply this,Sasuke wants a real answer(solution) to the problem that affects the current shinobi world. The thing is even Naruto with all his talk no jutsu,and "believe it" quotes doesn't have an answer. Being Hokage is very complicated,more than even Naruto can comprehend at this time. In truth Sasuke is doing basically what his brother did to keep the peace in the village. He doesn't believe his life has any meaning other than being hated at this time to achieve that peace. Even if it means denying his own happiness. (This is not his wish),but what he believes he has to do. The true answer doesn't come only through Naruto though,it needs Sasuke's input as well. They both have experiences that can help each other find an answer. I think that's what people miss that the author is trying to explain here. This fight is not about who's stronger power wise, if it was they would destroy each other.

The word "shinobi" itself in the show doesn't just refer to the ninjas but also a word to "endure" and that is the correct path which Naruto is doing. The world is united right now....they just need to maintain it by sheer optimism, mutual understanding and teaching the lessons of the past. The ambition for peace will just breed another ideology in the most extreme way, just like Pain, Obito, Madara, Sasuke and even the Sage, when he decided to share his chakra to everyone which resulted in more wars. If Naruto can't find the peace in his lifetime, he needs to entrust it to the next generation.

Naruto has optimism,but that also requires a realistic view of the sacrifices a Hokage has to deal with in order to maintain that peace. He learns this later on, how hard it is,to where even he almost starts to lose faith a bit. Sasuke has a realistic view,but lost a lot of his optimism,in part because of seeing the current system fail so many,including his own clan,due to reforms that were not implemented,and things overlooked. You need a balanced understanding,and implementation of both optimism and realism,as well as others people's knowledge,cooperation,and experiences to maintain peace. People tend to go overboard in giving Naruto credit for fixing everything,when even he acknowledges that his own efforts are not enough. It's why killing Sasuke was not the answer. He would need him later,as well as others Sasuke brings along with him. Even Sakura contributes to this in a very important way(don't want to spoil). Naruto learned a lot,even from Sasuke saving his life during the fight with Haku. The sacrificing of his dream to avenge his clan to save a friend stuck with him. It was why he fought so hard to make Sasuke remember who he truly was. Sasuke's true self was known to both Sakura, and Naruto. They had seen it at different times during their early training as team 7,through his willingness to save them at the cost of his own life. They knew that deep inside Sasuke really didn't want to go down this road. Even the first Hokage would have gained more with Madara's help and experiences,making the village stronger. All that to say that the combined efforts,and experiences of others,and not just one person's,is what is needed. Naruto is just one part of the puzzle. Sorry for the long rant:).

Naruto literally becomes who sasuke says he wants to become in order to keep the peace. There was only peace in boruto bcuz everyone knew that Naruto could max them all out if they stepped out of line. That's why when people strong enough to take out Naruto showed up, everything went to shit. So sasuke wasnt entirely wrong. Their world still needed an extremely powerful figure looming over it, in order for the people to act right. It just ended up being Naruto.

Naruto/Sasuke fight was the absolute best. Kishimoto said that he knew the final battle/scenes for Naruto from the very beginning, which is why these final episodes/chapters were so well-done and well-written. You may not agree with Sasuke but you should be able to understand his reasoning here, and it's consistent with his character.
Also about the discussion, Sasuke is not trying to be "good". He's trying to be effective because he's completely goal-oriented. And his goal is world peace. The reason why he believes his is the correct option is because every other option has failed. Acting as an "Itachi for the world" is the one option which he's seen personally work in his own life, so he thinks it's a viable path for the world as well. If another better option was presented that Sasuke could see for himself, he would absolutely pursue that as well. This is not a path that Sasuke *wants* to do but one that he feels he *needs* to in order to fulfill that goal of world peace.
As a solution, Sasuke has the most logical plan for world peace. Naruto doesn't actually have an answer himself since his 'peace' is completely dependent on his own charisma and good faith of others, which doesn't work in the world. In the real world you need an existential threat to unite others and force people to work together, either it's the environment or threat of nuclear world like in our world, or a god of darkness like Sasuke would be in the Narutoverse.

Remember ninjas are suppose to maintain as much chakra as possible when fighting. That's why they started with taijutsu and slowly and smartly started using chakra little by little just to get the edge on their opponent before they run out. One of the reasons why I loved this fight.

Sasuke's solution sounds a lot like Zero Requiem, minus the dying part. You could tell Naruto was holding back more in this fight than the last time they fought at the Valley of the End. Back then, Naruto was fighting with such ferocity and desperation that he considered breaking every bone in Sasuke's body was a better alternative to having his best friend throw his life away. This time, while still very personal, he's not as desperate. He knows just beating Sasuke within an inch of his life will not cut it because this is a battle between ideals rather than strength. Naruto needs to change Sasuke's mindset otherwise even if he does beat him, there's nothing stopping Sasuke from trying to enact his plan again, other than life behind a cell or death. Should it come to that then Naruto really would have failed to save him.

My favorite part of this fight was Sasuke using Kirin again. It's such a cool and underrated jutsu.
My problem with Kaguya and Black zetsu as final villains. It does not change anything between Naruto or Sasuke as characters.
You would think Saskia‘s perspective would change after getting told Black Zetsu was responsible while your life was horrible! It wasn’t Itachi or the village to blame, it was ALL BLACK ZETSU! Yet Sasuke got rid of him with naruto! So why is Sasuke continuing his ideology like fighting an alien did not even happen?? If you literally skip The Kaguya story line. Nothing changes to the original story.
Naruto and Sasuke were always going to fight regardless of anything….. Nothing changes if you skip the Kaguya stuff….. It was such a beyond waste of time….
When Sasuke and Naruto have their final battle. It has nothing to do with Kaguya! They are still working out their issues between each other of the important elements of Naruto’s story. Again The Kaguya story line has nothing to do with the original story. You can skip it and it would feel like we just got done watching a filler arc. 🫠
I just love the Solution to the "Sasuke- Problem" at the End... and even if you think it might be to easy as an answer... The Naruto Solution in the next episodes is brilliant to me because if you break it down to basically every possible szenerio- "Narutos Solution" could be right if done right and I love the Idea that empathie could save us all.

the issue is sasuke is looking for a fix and there is no such thing. It's like the old superman cartoons say "it's a never ending battle" any "fix" will only lead back to more death and war. So while there is no easy answer naruto is right you just have to keep work at it.
The way I read it, Sasuke wants to eliminate Naruto, because he feels like ANY emotional ties would prevent him from being impartial. He is an avenger. He plans to kill all the leaders. I think his plan is to blast everyone back to the stone age, and remove all governments. He'd then monitor the planet and make sure everyone behaves. He would eliminate any threats above a certain level, that had the potential to shift the balance of power. (Tailed beasts, Kage, those with exceptionally strong abilities, etc.) Basically, he'd become the Bad Cop, that everyone fears, and create an environment where no one dares step out of line.
When you sit on a throne, people can conspire to dethrone you. When you rule from the shadows, you never know when Sasuke might teleport in & punish you. I think he'd allow the villages to have some sort of City Hall, but every nation would have an empty throne, that Sasuke could occupy at any time.
what i love about this fight is that Naruto is holding back the entire time, Sasuke was trying to kill Naruto the whole time and Naruto was just trying to stop him without killing or hurting him too bad. Naruto is a beast

I'm not saying that Sasuke is right. He is definitely wrong and the bad guy here. But the reasons for his actions have some validity. Like he didn't arrive to this conclusion on an impulse. And it makes it even more sense to do something like this right after madara's plan. Because he's seen that idealism never did anything for this world. Pain, Obito, Madara, Itachi and even Danzo... they moved through the shadows and made actual change happened. Danzo, being a piece of shit he was, he did save the village from an Uchiha Coup... Something Third Hokage couldn't even do shit with his idealism. All Third Hokage did was "We'll talk" but he never did.
Sasuke saw all that. and with amount of hate and anger and violence he's experienced in his life... it makes total sense to why he's doing what he is doing now.

It is logical if you want world peace. Humans inevitably have conflict and wars without something that forces them to work together and live peacefully with each other. It's in our biology and sociology to seek conflict. That's why there's the saying "history repeats itself". The only constant there is us as humans.
The only way there can be enduring world peace is through some sort of powerful external force being applied which forces people to get along, rather than just relying on 'good will' which is Naruto's approach. That's how it's always been throughout history.

Episodes #476-477 are both storyboard and directed by Hiroyuki Yamashita (director of Episode #322, #345, #375, BORUTO: Naruto the Movie). He really bent over backwards to direct these two episodes and also personally corrected some of the animation (like he did on #322, #345 and #375).
This fight was so amazing they did a good job showing Sasuke use all these different techniques and it really makes you think how cool of a concept the creator had to make Naruto based off Japanese mythology and how Sasuke and itachi or Uchiha in general have abilities that the gods had in Japanese mythology

In essence, Sasuke is seeking a solution based on a belief that humans fundamentally cannot understand one another and cooperate willingly. That's what he learned from his experiences and what he saw as the inevitable result of the current system, when even hashirama gave up trying to understand madara and decided to kill his best friend to defend his dream.
Naruto saw much of the same through his own experiences but he has absolute faith through the people he met and the people he decided to listen to that it is possible to trust one another when we understand their pain. From all the people that put their trust on him, he knows that if he kills Sasuke right here it's same as proving Sasuke right, if he kills Sasuke he gives up on his dream. Even if he gets the Hokage position he'll never be a true Hokage in his mind.
So Naruto's mission is more than stopping Sasuke but also show him that things can be different if they don't give up on humanity. That was the true cycle of history that wasn't created by Black Zetsu, and that's the cycle that Naruto wants to stop.

Sasuke's reasoning and mind set could very easily lead him to being exactly like Danzo. Danzo didn't do all the bad shit he did for laughs but b/c he believed it was ultimately for the best of his village which is what Sasuke is trying to do on a much larger scale for the whole world, which means the action would be scaled much larger as well. Where Danzo felt that an entire clan needed to be wiped out for the good of the village Sasuke could one day believe that an entire village, city or even nation needs to be completely wiped out for the good of the world.

You guys did too much assuming, Sasuke never stated he'd kill people for changing or progressing, he's killing those who try to to keep the ninja world as it is...he'd in theory only pop up to remain a threat and kill those who he deems corrupt.
this was the most epic fight in the naruto series (with a few exeptions of course)
I get people frustrated with sasukes choices throughout the series. But putting personal feelings aside I really didn’t hate may of the things he chose to do lol Ide say I was cool with a good 80%💀. He was a villain but written a lot better than most give him credit for. If naruto was a seinen he’d be the main character people root for maybe until the end fight lol.

Also keep in mind that both of them fought for 2 days straigth ! And both of them even died for a short time. And they still have strength left to battle each other full on.
The reasons with the flashbacks during the fight is that Sasuke once told naruto that when shinobi get strong to a certain point they are able to convey thier feelings to each other through fights. thats why they share these memories throough this fight.
Sasuke is not copying Madara. Madara wanted to put everyone to sleep, like Naruto told him it's fake reality. While Sasuke initially giving the ppl a choice. Follow his ideas and live your life freely and peacefully, or face his judgement. If u wanna cause conflict and war, he'll take u out. If u can live peacefully with others and other nations, you're be good

Oke oke, here's a fact. This battle was released like in the middle of 2016, yet Naruto Storm 4 was released sooner (making me to experience this whole fight on my xbox one)
And aside from the coolio animation, the quicktimes of Storm deserve to be considered cannon xD
i love this final fight, its my favorite resolution in anime, i love this show since i was little, and even tho the awr arc could have been better, this is the perfect ending in my eyes (specially the anime version)

Sasuke can run all the villages because he has shadow clones he can be everywhere at once if he killed Naruto who is there to stop him not a single person can stand up to a peak power sasuke clone as y’all saw Naruto’s clones didn’t disappear after one hit it took a fatal wound for them to poof away if Naruto’s dead no one can stop sasuke
Thats a good idea too but i had imagined that he would just put the Hokage's under genjutsu and he would speak through them from afar where ever he may live, maybe like some fortress in the sky. Sasuke is a whole problem and people didn't understand how powerful his doujutsu abilities were, He said it himself that would had kept resurrecting himself, probably Sakura and his child. His nerf was reasonable in Boruto cause he would had just resurrecting Naruto without cost and himself and get back all his chakra. May as well be watching One Punch Man.
Clones disappear if they get too far from orginal body. Naruto is the only one who can do it beacuse he has a lot of chakra and nine tails in him.
So Sasauke can't run villages.

Why nerf characters when there are multiple characters that are stronger? Even in Part 2 Sasuke & Naruto weren't the absolute strongest. Kaguya & Hagoromo (with him being his mother Jinchūriki) were.
Am i missing something. People for years called out naruto for being babies first philosophy class and how simple and not complex it is, but everyone here is having a hard time even telling the difference between marada's plan and sasuke after he explained it. Seems super simple and something we've seen done in other series. Sasuke is basically enacting the end of watchmen and becoming the nuke that will go off every few years to remind people a power house is out there that you need to all work together to face or be annihilated...take out the old hokage to erase the old system of split powers and have a world united against one evil...seems simple. They're debating it like it's complex. Makes me believe similar shows plots aka CODE YOU KNOW and Attack are overlooked and hated on for their endings cause people don't understand simple plots lol. I always considered the crew would enjoy Hxh a lot, but they seemed bored as it got more complex…maybe they didn't like that section, no offense to people who don't thou cause to each their own...
