Thank you for the video! I think in my business' case it's best to wait before even considering or looking at VC capital.

For most startups, it's best to wait as long as you can.

Thank you for this video. I have a question. Me and my business partner created a company and it will be 4 years soon. Our revenue is less than 20k. For 4 years, we been bootstrapping. It wasn't easy, we where living paycheck to paycheck. We are now deciding to raise capital after 4 years. Do you think we have chance of raising capital? the thing is, this business need a lot of money in order to succeed and we believe it will once we have enough capital. There's so many things we would love to do but can't since we have no money. During those 4 years, me and my partner learned a lot! that will put us in a high level of success. Will VC's care about the things we learned during those 4 years? do they only invest in Newley startups? or do they also invest in startups that been here for 4 years now? (In my opinion, we consider those 4 years of years of learning and testing) Soon we will be incorporating in the United State (I know, we should've incorporated a long time ago but money was very tight) (In the field we are is in the billions of dollars. We believe if we do everything right, it will be worth over $1b in a couple of years) Anyways, sorry for the long comment

Investors will absolutely back more established companies. For you, it will be all about validation and "why now." You need to make a convincing case that you have already de-risked the business and the only issue is funding to drive growth. Investors will want to understand why you have not been growing much over the last few years and why that will change now.
