- Check out Tom's latest #vanreview of the Citroen Berlingo. The excellent Berlingo small van hoovered up loads of awards on launch giving it a massive sales boost. Operators are always praising its running costs & interiors. Under the bonnet are excellent 1.5-litre diesel engines, in tha back are superb loading bays with maximum load volumes of 3.8 cubic metres & maximum payloads of up to 1000kg. I rented this vehicle to move things from apartment to new one and after 6 years of staying at place i have loads of stuff to carry. It save me a lot of money from not hiring “man with a car” service which charges 50-60 euros an hour

driving at minus 7 degress last week washers freeze because they are fitted inside the metal wipers...try throwing water on the screen with your hand out the window at 70mph on a salty motorway....that was fun...
thumb-upped the review. I'm the 405th viewer, to hit a thumb, either way. BTW, I'm not, ordinarily, a van-type-guy. For this, however, I'll make an exception.
Can you remove the top half - or all of - the bulkhead, so you can look into/access the cargo area from the driving seat?
After driving one of the PSA vans (Peugeot Partner), I was impressed with the interior space and car like ride. By the way, how can I get those gloves Tom?! 😁
Tom here: Employees only on the gloves... although I'll have a word with the boss to see if we can do merch! I love the PSA Group vans, all of them, especially the Citroens, are worth your time & money.
@@vanaramauk Thanks for the reply. I'm just waiting for our fleet of dated Mercedes Citan, to be replaced with the PSA vans or even the Transit Conect.
Seats in the enterprise spec are not comfortable if you're tall and you CANNOT tilt that short seat base! When you increase the height the seat base tilts forward too much. Our one came with no ply lining and it's like DRIVING A KETTLE DRUM - I've had to buy some Dodo mat to see if it sorts it. Edit: The road noise on the Continental tyres is still a huge problem even after deadening the rear (wasted money). Also the ride and handling are diabolical. So to sum up: Very noisy, slow, uncomfortable and not very good to drive. How did this van get 'van of the year'? Cheap to buy, stuff the actual driver.
Is it possible to get air con in the loading bay area?
This guy should be on the new top gear shows. Apart from Chris Harris he's better than all the others.

Are these vans subject to lower speeds on roads, 60mph on dual carriageways etc?? I've just been done for doing 70mph on a dual carriageway with a central reservation, never had points in 30 years before😢

Front looks like that of a miniaturised VW transporter.
75bhp is the low power, is the other higher powers a secret.Is the heater no working, he's weel happed up,and lugs covered is it noisy and cauld in the cab.
I love it. Hope they keep the unnecessary gadgets to a minimum.

2nd gear...up to 5000rpm lol. not your typical diesel van driving review. More like what grunt did it have in 3rd?
French made, give it 3 years of various building sites, the paint will fade and parts will fall off, don't like the Electronic handbrake, maybe i'm biased but better quality in a Transit Connect.
Better than any British van
Berlingo is actually built in Spain. The Transit Connect is built in Turkey. Good van knowledge buddy.
