Why does no ever talk about reliability, researching weights, load space, Bhp and test driving is simple but what people really want to know is will it’s bust a gearbox, will the engine take a dump within 120k miles and are you constantly going to have to replace bits.
I would have liked a little explanation on how the van weighs itself?

This is actually really useful if you are a criminal and need to transport corpses.
That "music" is bloody annoying.
Surroud rear vision - DO NOT PURCHASE THAT THING - every time you switch on the car key - YOU NEED TO ACCEPT that you acknowledge the risk of using it. Opel means that you are like computer - every time you switch off the car you turn off your memory (loose the knowlege of that risk) so when you turn the carkey again you have to confirm message that you`ve already seen thousand of times !!! Imagine that you start your car 10 times a day - do you get a picture how annoing it is ? And the most curious thing is that if you want to change the view from rear to right side (camera under right mirror - European version) you have to do it AGAIN WITH BUTTON near the screen ( you have to reach with hand while you drive) ONLY IN OPEL. In other sibling cars (Peugeot, Toyota and Citroen ) you can do it WITHOUT TAKING HAND OFF THE STEERING WHEEL. ONLY BY PRESSING A BUTTON ON INDICATOR SHIFTER !!! Not in Opel :( And if you pick this system you do not have a rear view on a big 8" screen with better perspective - no no no !!! Yu have it on a lot smaller 3" screen !!! So once again - CONSIDER - if you need to make your blood pressure higher and you can't drink coffe - please do purchase that system.
Lots of problems after 12 months use, radio and morning dampness, panels popping out, window switch breaking and falling into door panel. Pictures and videos to support this.
Fuck PSA. They destroyed an Opel Gm dross. Opel combo c the best.
Ant Anstead has a show that calls him a master mechanic though he admits to have no formal training to claim the title. Anstead's show has him making a car from near scratch.
Edd China, an actual master mechanic, is doing car reviews. Anstead's show is fun as hell, but Edd would have made it transcendent.

Driving this now .Previous van was the Peugeot partner. I literally jumped out of the old into the new and everything is better comfort ergonomics handling tech in fact i love driving it . Have to recommend
annoying music destrying a good review
What a surprise the gearbox is not very good very french I suppose it will have all the traditional french build quality issues
We have 6 Peugeot lwb versions of this at work. All with 6 speed petrol engines. The main problem is nsf suspension failure on all of them. Some of them twice. Also there is no traditional handbrake. It's a tiny dash mounted lever. But it is a very slow and dimwitted system. . And it likes a drink. In 2500 miles , it's averaged 28mpg.
This is the worst van I've driven to date. The whole van felt like it was dug up from the 90s.
Don't buy a non GM Vauxhall anything they're awful.
I drove the original combo really nice van (except for rusty top box) changed it for newer shape couldn't get all my gear from old to new to new van ,if they had power steering on old van would have kept it.
I've driven one of these... by which I mean I've driven a 2010 Peugeot Partner. It was bollocks.

@@raychambers3646 Is that the one that was just replaced by this? The one based on a Doblo? I've got the one before that - it's just a Corsa C underneath. It does have the Fiat engine still unfortunately though...

That's what i love about PSA, they share parts with Opel but still let them be different from their other brands, they still let Opel be, well, german.
Entertaining review Edd although it looks like your reading the intro from a script. You even look like a van driver fashion wise,don't know how you fitted in that van though must have been a bit of camera trickery.

I bought one. The only disappointment is the lack of a CD player.
Less marketing chat, more comparisons with rivals, eg Ford Transit Connect has split wing mirrors as standard, for those blind spots/bikes. Better vision?. Can you drive all day in this van?. Better or worse “real driving economy ”?. Parking and Turning circle?. Service intervals?. Warranty, etc etc. Commercial buyers want running costs, and usability.
van are so overpriced.i mean costs must be lower than building a car and less materials and manufactures sharing everything.
They seem to have no interest in producing a stripped down basic model. Like cars they are full of non essential gadgets which must all add to the price.
What is the point of 6 gears, does the engine have a very narrow power band?
@@ronnieg6358 yes, the engines do have narrow power bands, it's the emissions crap, that's why all vehicles seem to be doing less mpg, our audi shows 50 odd mpg but work it out at the pumps and millage and its in the mid forties. An old Peugeot partner 1.9d from the early 2000's would do more mpg than any of these vans

I hired this van for 2 days to buy an 06 vivaro and that drove better than the Vauxhall
More Badge engineering from PSA, it's NOT a new van at all it's a rebadged Berlingo or Partner which ever you choose to call it with a Vauxhall badge on it, it's really sad what our motor manufacturing has come to. Nissan and Renault play the same game as do Kia and Hyundai. Mercedes have just joined the same game with Fiat, their all at it trying to con the public.
The outgoing Combo was a rebadged Fiat Doblo, so not as if anything significant has happened here. Toyota will also be selling a Berlingo rehash too. The fact is that Toyota couldn’t justify developing a small van, and as has been proven with the Proace - Toyota people will buy anything with a Toyota badge on it. Same will apply to Vauxhall customers. Why would PSA design a different small van for one of their brands when they have one already?
mcmcolm . Toyota selling a Fiat as a disguised Toyota, have they lost the plot ?? People buy Toyota for their quality and they are trying to pass a Fiat off as a Toyota, this is taking advantage of customers naivety by not knowing. Toyota are being a bit naughty these days with their sales tactics, they are trying to pass their self charging hybrid off as an electric vehicle when it's nothing of the sort, it's a petrol engined vehicle that generates electric to drive the wheels. The idea is to get rid of petrol and Diesel engines to save the planet but Toyota seem to be pulling a bit of a con here to Kid people that their going green. Without that petrol engine that cars going nowhere so why call it Self Charging, it give the impression that it really is self charging when there's no such thing, shame on you Toyota.

Hi, you quote load length of 1817 for the shorter version which is 350 off the 2167 (longer) but figure states 1781 for the short version (on screen) which is correct please...? 🤔

Yes so I hear ,best Diesel engines I’ve seen in Vauxhall’s to me was the Isuzu 1.7,the fiat 1,9d was ok but had bad things also but yeah if this merger happens then that’s more things gone to pot
